Don Aspas, the game at the Calderón wasn't the norm. It was an odd game. I don't think we'll see that style of play again anytime soon. I also think it was impossible to play like the 3-1 in that dreadful pitch.

To people saying "8 wins in a row" you do realize that we are winning because he got spanked because of his stupid constant rotations? Noticed today, he just put Raf instead of Raki and that was GREAT decision, thats how you rotate. Not removing entire midfield after great game.

Anyway, he is arrogant and stubborn guy, he made alot of mistakes but he is learning in process and finally showing that he can actually take this team somewhere. We are also playing faster and better in attack, and better in defense (especially against set pieces). Credit where credit is duo.

Lucho is actually taking charge now, well done. He's not just getting bailed out by his squad anymore and he's showing that he's doing the job that is his, not just being a yes-man sentimental face brought in by the board to imitate the Pep hire. He still has tons to do to prove himself but the team is performing very well right now and I feel that it's because he's learned how to approach the job.

He seem to be enjoying the job now too. Active on the sideline which he wasn't earlier this season.

His stupid, constant rotations will ensure that the team is fresher and firing on all cylinders at the business end of the season. Look at Chelsea and Real Madrid, some of their players are obviously beginning to get fatigued.

Yea, but having 23 (TWENTY THREE) different starting XI in a ROW is stupid and costly. We are finally playing good and thats because chemistry in team is growing. Rotating is key, and rotation against Levante, Eibar and likes at home is great way to rest players. Rotating in big matches constantly fucked us up.

¡Gr?*cies Xavi!
He is doing well at the moment, making the right decisions, implementing new elements to our game such as counters, etc. One thing I'm not a fan of though is how vertical we played tonight. I'd like to see him switch it up a bit, so we are not totally dependent on our wingers and wingbacks. Granted, it was kind of difficult to do that given how compact Villarreal stood in their own half, but our attacking display got a bit too predictable at times.

LE still needs to figure out the midfield. Alba was the player with most passes. Alves the second.

@busi1325 Passes tonight:
Bravo 14
Alves 82
Piqué 70
Masche 58
Alba 106
Busi 41
Iniesta 69
Rafinha 54
Ney 75
Messi 70
Suárez 28

I actually feel we would have done even better without Busquets and Iniesta. Maybe Alba even.

You're definitively not the only one. Iniesta was totally lost, Busi looked confused and Alba sucked going forward. Lucho did alright when he took Busi of, with Masch on DM he stabilized our midfield - but I would have taken Iniesta off early in the second as well. Alba's defending wasn't the that bad though, but boy oh boy he almost didn't have a good pass the entire game.

yea which is why i said i don't know what we are playing at, and i will not be critical of out midfielders.

Im watching to see how this works out in the end.

Not that strange at all. Opponents learned to crowd the centre vs. Barca and that's why we're trying to bypass it.
It's a nonissue as enough chances were created anyway. More than in a lot of futile side passing games of ours in the past.
