Seriously now, what is this talk about who is better? Winning the treble makes you better. Period. At this minute, we're the best in the world, certified by the treble we've just won. In may-june we'll see if we remain the best or not.

Guess I missed the memo...

If somebody have to be blamed for supercup loss:

a) tight schedule (3 games in 6 days is just stupid and unfair)
b) Lucho for underestimating opponent
c) our defense

The team needs to get back on form ASAP.The super cup disaster should be the 15/16 Anoeta. The thing is though that it would be extremely difficult to defend the treble in last year's form, let alone this one...

-Messi has fatigue problems after having played non-stop for months
-The team is also tired from last year+plus the useless US tour
-We should also consider that many players may have get complacent after last year's achievement
-It also seems that we won't be as lucky as last year regarding injuries
-We have a terrible squad depth, and the 2 new signings won't be available until January
-Add to all this Lucho making mistakes while trying to rotate

We have a extremely difficult schedule until January.Numerous away fixtures+Club World Cup+a potentially hard UCL draw.People believing that the season will be judged in February are really naive. If we start losing points in LaLiga and start falling behind Real Madrid or Atletico(which isn't impossible at all.If we continue like this and Real sgoes on a winning strike we can easily fall even up to 10 points behind),then our morale will be depleted. With a bad morale,it will be really difficult to stand up and defend our UCL crown.

So,Lucho and his staff need to find the best possible solution ASAP.If we lose in San Mames, there will be a shitstorm, which will affect the team big time

¡Gr?*cies Xavi!
Luis Enrique: "Keeper rotation? I don't yet know, they don't know either. I'll do what I feel is best. Could be same as last season, or not"

Ultimately the supercup is irrelevant. What matters is our performance, which was poor, to say the least. Although as some of you have said, playing 3 games in 6 days is stupid. Literally stupid considering the level these guys are playing at. Anyway. Let us pick up our hats and continue.

People still can't let go of this Bayern bullshit.

We just won the treble, lost a worthless friendly cup and people are already turning to the Bayern is best nonsense. What a load of bullocks.

I'm sticking by Lucho and Unzue even if we win nothing this season. Blows my mind people are already questioning him one week into the season.

Comedic.

It's pretty sad how quickly people turn on the manager or coaches. Let's not be like Real Madrid fans

Under Guardiola, we seemed to be able to break through these parked buses so easily.

I am sorry, but there is some serious delusion. Luis Enrique is a 'good' coach. No coach can win a treble without being good.
But Pep Guardiola is a great coach. Even if Luis Enrique wins six trophies this season (not at all likely) Guardiola will be seen as the much better coach.
If Guardiola managed Barcelona in 14/15, he would also have won the treble - but in a much more convincing manner. Pep's philosophy is the best - it didn't fail this season or the previous season....any team in history (apart from Pep's Barca) would have lost to Barca and Real Madrid who were in such great form in the last two seasons. Also, Bayern 0-4 Real Madrid is not indicative of failure of Pep's philosophy - the players wanted to play more directly, contrary to Pep's wishes. If you remember Real Madrid 1-0 Bayern and Bayern 3-2 Barca, in both cases Pep's team had the opposition hemmed inside their own box and were better in normal gameplay, showcasing Bayern's superiority when the players follow Pep's philosophy and instructions correctly.
There is a reason why Pep's Bayern are still regarded as the best team in the world.

If Pep was our coach last Season, we wouldn't win a CL.
Pep plays only one retarded style/tactics in his whole career.
And that style is not working anymore because every single semidecent team knows how to neutralize his Tiki-Taka.

Let's wait to see:
1. if Pep will ever again in his career win a CL (without Messi)
2. and will he tweak his tactics before 2080?

I am not sure that he will achieve either one of those two, with his stuborness.

I think that we will suffer for quite some time in the beginning of the season.

We will have numerous injuries, fatigue from the last Season, and we will need a longer period until players will wake up from the dreamland after winning a CL last season.
I have a feeling that we will have a weaker start, and slowly the press and fans will whine more and more.
If we reach the bottom in October/November/December, we will still have enough time to wake up for the final Months of La Liga and a CL.

But imo, don't expect our last season's form too soon.
We were bad against Bilbao, again against Bilbao, made 100s of mistakes against Sevilla, played bad against Man. Utd, Chelsea, Fiorentina.
We were only good against Roma till now, imo.

So, be prepared for a few weeks/months of not so awesome displays, imo.
I believe that we will need to reach some sort of a bottom again, to fully wake up...

Great first half yesterday, just goes to show that this season will be more of the same awesome football, and that the 1st leg against Bilbao and the 2nd half against Sevilla were all due to a crap bench and a tired 1st team.
