Luis Suárez

Another disgraceful game from him. Wouldn't even be at the club if not for his friendship with Messi. He'll pad his stats & score a couple of goals to cover up these disasters though.

Not even gonna bother to think about all those shit touches and passes, but WHAT THE FUCK is going on with his presence when we actually need him inside the box. He's never there. NEVER where you need him. It's like he intentionally drifts away from the action whenever a dangerous cross is about to come in.

Even despite his defect instep, he could still be a useful bulldog in the box and for making deep runs. But something is wrong in his head too. It's the strangest movement I've ever seen from a striker. It's like he thinks every cross will inevitably be deflected and end up like a perfect lay-up for one of those volleys he likes, so he goes to wait for that instead of just going for the cross.

Speaking truth right here

Messi will throw a tantrum if Suarez is benched.
And Suarez took Advantage of Messi by befriending him just so he would be here for as long as possible.

Suarez is too street smart for Messi

Its pretty much the same with Pique.

The only times we looked a bit better in attack was when Messi played CF for like 10 minutes.

Suarez was diabolical in front of goal tonight.

But I don't understand the criticism for his bad overall play when Suarez has been like that for a few seasons now.

As a out-and-out striker however, he has simply one task at the pitch and that's delivering goals. Something Suarez has been nothing short but excellent. He consistenly scores hits 20 league goals season since 12/13 and 30 in all comps (apart from 14/15). His numbers at UCL can be improved, but there's not a shadow of doubt that Suarez has been one of the main reasons for our domestic dominance.

I think we should appreciate to have such an goalgetter like Suarez who guarantee loads of goals every season. Just like at Real Madrid who lost their by far best goalscorer in Cristiano. They can hardly rely on an injury merchant like Bale, Asensio who occasionally golazos from time to time or Benzema who has not even scored 15 LaLiga goals for past 2 years. Madridistas would love to have such a high-volume goalscorer like Suarez despite his piss poor overall play compared to their Frenchman for instance.

He's good for La Liga but I just dont think he is at top level anymore. His UCL record has been dipping, a straight decline.

I won't omit him from the squad totally, but what is unfair is that he gets to play full 90 all the time like he's already secured a position.

He only had two shots at goal and only one on target today and messed up all the other promising attacks. Goals came from a set piece and from Dembele. If his job was a striker, then it's pretty poor. Anyone could have taken that 2 shots, and it's almost like we were playing with 10 men. If he were to play like this in top stages, I really doubt we could create any goalscoring chances or build up play. It's virtually impossible with Suarez.

I prefer that Malcom should be given more chances especially when EV tries to defend the lead. That way we could counter attack more effectively and could cause alot of problems for the opposition.

He is DONE!

"If we didn't have such a pussy manager Suarez would have been sold this season.
I laugh when people compare him to Eto. Sorry but he's not in the same league.

Play Messi at False nine and get Coutinho and Dembele on the wings. Or get Malcom and Dembele on the wings. Suarez at the moment should be a plan b striker.

Considering how the board allegedly bought Malcom behind EV's back, so to speak, surely they can do it again - if EV doesn't see what most of the world sees about Suarez's decline - and replace him adequately soon. Very soon...

I want to see what happens if Valverde decides to bench Suarez.

Some of these guys claim that competition for spots is good but in reality they fucking hate it so much. Alba is a perfect example of this. When Lucho went with the 3-3-1-3 and Alba lost his spot for the time being, the dude ended up acting like a shitbag because of it and started taking jabs at Lucho during international break and even after Lucho left he was still taking jabs at him pretty much claiming Valverde has it right. I theorize in some ways that this maybe the reason the club is reluctant in giving Alba new deal.

So in Suarez case if he got bench will he be graceful about it and fight hard to regain it? or will he pull an Alba and try and pull rank and force Valverde to start him.

Once again a terrible game. He will score his goals again like he always does but besides that he's so useless nowadays its sad to watch :(

If he was a racehorse he'd have been shot by now. I said 2 years ago we should sell him while he still has value. At this point i'd pay him off to go. We can't have three more seasons of this. It'd ruin the rest of Messi's Barca career.

if Villa drank mate and had a wife close to Antonella, he'd probably still be playing here

Villa even now is better than Suarez.

Will be interesting to see if it happens. I would say Alba had a stronger case then Suarez currently do. Im pretty sure Luis is not happy with his performance last season, and know he needs to perform better. I think the bench would help him regain some form, but we dont have any other 9 worth mentioning.
