It was in the rules that if teams can't pay outstanding bills, they'll be banned...

Except Malaga HAS settled on the issue of their outstanding bills and they are being paid as we speak. What riles me up here, is that FFP should be applicable to all of the teams competing any of the two UEFA competitions.

Málaga are being singled out in an disproportionate manner and made an example of, which in no manner should fall on smaller clubs, which have been, as mitigating circumstance in this case, been screwed over by their owners.

Exactly!

What a magnificent performance! The score lies, it was a one sided game.

Its a disgrace that they wont play in Europe.

What is hard to accept is that a club like Malaga has problem getting financed. My hat's off to Pellegrini and his unit. I have respect for the club. They inspire me. Pellegrini has shown how he can transform players that could have been labeled "finished" by many. Pellegrini should win the best manager of the world next year.

Liking what I see in first half. Great ball movement and composure, tons of patience, overall disciplined. Gotta hand it to Depo, mainly Pizzi for fighting at home.

If they lose Nacho to Arsenal... will this mean Eliseu will play LB?

I really can't understand why they'd want to sell him now and not wait until the summer.

Only reason I think is they need the money. Arsenal was going to buy him anyway in the summer but Gibbs got injured.

I agree, Pellegrini is an extremely intelligent manager and they are great team to watch. Those matches against Málaga were amongst the best of the season, with the Copa second leg being the best.

Isco, Joaquin and Iturra all had nice performances last night...Deserved win although Porto had some pretty good chances in that 2nd half to send them packing too...Plus, Toulalan should've been sent off, IMO...Rizzoli was pretty poor on the night, for both sides
