Malcom

Really happy for him, and have to say the way he celebrated his goal (putting both his hands over his face as if he had trouble realizing what was happening) said a lot about how he feels. Scoring on your first UCL game, with the first ball you get, in the team of your dream must be something pretty incredible.

One of my first posts on this forum was about him, and I talked back then about his mentality. He's a leader, he works hard, and he's a smart kid. Hope he'll get more chances to play, against good sides, and with the actual A team (not with a weird line-up like last week, because as it's been pointed out, he needs good players around him to truely shine: he's talented, but to me his biggest strength - apart from his bazooka of a left food - is his football IQ).

Better attitude than Dembele. This passion and desire to play for the club is what I want to see and how we can forgive hin for being young and making mistakes.

Dembele just has McDonalds on the mind and when his next paycheque is coming in. His attitude stinks because he knows if he fails here another big club will be desperate to sign him.

"Better attitude than Dembele" lmao what is this

It's not about his 10 min perfomances, but about how he gets frozen on the bench for half a season, does not whine and scores in a very important game whilst saying that it is his dream to succeed at Barca and he will do everything to achieve it. I'm not saying that Dembele is lazy or something, he had a great cameo against Madrid, just that Malcom is more dedicated to Barca.

He should clearly be the 4th/5th option in attack.

Messi, Suarez, Coutinho, Dembele and Malcom.

He needs more minutes in La Liga and in the last two CL matches.

Dembelee everything was given in silver platter. Malcom has to fight for playing time.

He maybe not as talented as Dembele but he has a deeper understanding of the game. Dembele is so naive. He plays street football.

Is it even disputable he's got better attitude than Dembele?
Funny thing is I thought Malcom's personality and hard work ethic would easily gel with Valverde and it could had made a extremely competitive spot on the RW between Dembele and Malcom.

Yet for some reason, it didn't happen as I thought it would. :/

Pretty much. Shields the ball better, is more intelligent and hard working, seemed like a player Valverde would love. Still don't get why he doesn't.

I mean Valverde probably favors Dembele still which isn't a bad thing but still no real reason for Malcom to be outcasted as long as he has and even being discarded in favor of the likes of Denis, Rafinha, Munir etc.

I feel all three of those guys we have already seen what they can offer, time to try something new and Give Malcom a much bigger role in the team.

Malcom was interviewed by Tot Costa (Cat Radio).

Malcom said that he talked with Valverde and Valverde told him that he needed to improve defensively. Malcom also says he shares a good relationship with the rest of the squad as well.

Wow. I assume they said the same thing to Dembele.
