If he was really destined for greatness he would have joined a team in a good league, this shows he is not committed to becoming a great player.

what if PL teams offer only 20-25 mil for him ? Do you think the club would accept something like that ? lol

Lol, bro really?
Dude took the best deal his agent could get him. He’s getting paid and most importantly more playing time which is what he needs most right now at 22.

Deals like this should be a lesson for us. If you’re not prepared to give these kids the playing time to develop and grow then don’t buy them. We’re better off buying guys like Navas. Ernie likes them old anyway.

I’m not sure who else was in for him, but if teams in better leagues were offering a similar fee and he had the chance to go a better league than the Russian league, then he should have gone for that option.

deli ali is a poor barometer. the guy is struggling to beat off jesse lingard for the NT spot.

hes been living off that one good season. a jack of all trades.

EPL players are massively overrated on this site and generally. It looks like very few people are able to not be swayed by EPL marketing and PR

Not a good move for Malcom as he will have a longer road back into the elite European leagues.

Good deal for Barcelona to recoup the investment on a player our manager would never give a chance. We needed a quick cash injection and Malcom was it. If Malcom was right footed he would of made it here.

Now let's wrap up that LB and get Lozano for the left side as PSV have missed out on the CL and have also signed Bruma.

Modern wingers need to play with both of their feet. Malcom uses his right leg only for walking.

Witsel and Paredes ring a bell for anybody?

If he performs in Russia, he'll get a move to one of the top leagues pretty soon. Or what, players from Ukraine and Russia have never moved to the likes of Dortmund, City, Bayern or what? He's only 22 and imo it's a perfect move for him as he'll have ample time to develop while not being under the pressures at bigger clubs. The fact that he'll bag 6m net a year is a bonus as I doubt any other club would have given him more than 3-4m a year.

For which "nobody" did Real get 40M?

I guess they mean Llorente for 30M? Else Kovacic for 45M?
Malcom is not worth more than 40+5 anyway, so I'm not sure why they think this is bad business.

Anyway, joining Barca was great for Malcoms career from his POV, because he earns more here than he would have at Roma, and now he could negotiate higher salary with Zenit, which is his primary goal for his next move apparently.

Pepe, Robben, dare I say Messi. Arn't left footed players usually very left footed though.

Fair point. Perhaps Monchi at Sevilla would have been in for him had they not already spent over 120m as they are interest in Bergwign.

That would be the counter argument. Unless we looked to sell him in a few years time as I don't see Lozano the type of talent to be a first 11 player for us. In that scenario Mino could help make a profit.

I think he's making a mistake. He should have gone to Everton where he could have been playing with fellow Brazilians and Portuguese speakers instead of Russia getting racial abuse. But I guess money was more important.

Malcom would have looked like a 80m player if he had signed for Sevilla. I doubt Monchi would pay 40m plus big wages for him though.
