Malcom

Even without a clause, generally at Barca and Real if a player wants to leave nobody stands in the way anyway.

Didnt Asensio get a 400m release clause when signed for them for 4m euros as a 20 year old? I don see why we couldnt do the same with Malcom.

Real Madrid always seem to have crazily high clauses when other sources tend suggest that it is tied to salary. Quite a nebulous subject

it isn't a suggestion, but more of a fact that it is salary related
That said from my understanding the laws are vague, it just stated that release clause should be related to salary and if not the coart has the right to overrule it and set a lower one. Thing is it doesn't say how it is determined i.e no certain equation to determine it
RM doesn't announce release clause so there is a good chance that many of those reported are inaccurate

 So not only that this boy is a natural talent and a dominant alpha winner, but he's also smart. Before he came, everyone thought defensive contribution was his weakness. Now, he comes and throws this in Valverde's face. I'm predicting it now: he's gonna be a starter this season.

Full package. As BBZ says it.
It sets up a interesting dilemma between both Dembele and Malcom.

If Malcom can provide the Workrate+Defense, he will be a favorite by Valverde and Malcom can also provide the ability in attack as well since he's really good on the technical part of things. Dembele it's obvious he won't ever be some defensive beast but to me he will bring even more to the attack than Malcom will IMO due to talent levels.

However the gap between the two Dembele vs Malcom in terms of talent isn't gigantic like lets say Neymar vs Vidal/Deulofeu. It could end up being the differences between lets say Neymar vs Douglas Costa, Dembele being better in terms of talent but Malcom himself is no slouch himself either.

There's a disclaimer though this is nothing but theory. If Malcom comes out swinging in Pre-season and early on in the season showing us what he can do and very well, Dembele needs to work his ass off and show Valverde and the rest of the team that he is the superior talent and that he deserves that RW spot assuming Valverde decides to stick with both Messi and Suarez in the same lineup.

Malcolm is good but Dembélé is 10x better than him!

The competition for starting spots will bring the best out of both Malcom and Dembele. not just them but also in defense with Lenglet and in midfield with Arthur competing to start aswell. It will be good for the team, especially if we could add another quality midfield or two. The depth will be good this year.

it'll be interesting to see how Messi and Malcolm will co-exist together as they like to occupy similar spaces
This is where Dembele and Malcom are going to have evolve a bit somewhat. Both players want to be creative and stuff and occupy some of the spots Messi does.

What Messi needs is Wingers/Forwards who are able to make those off the ball runs. I mean how many times have you seen Alba bust his gut to get into positioning by making those runs of his for Messi to find him?

I feel that is one of the things we are missing the most, having more players that aren't our Fullbacks making those runs off the ball for Messi to slide the ball through and stretch play as well. Suarez is to slow to do that now in our Forward line.

This is where Dembele and Malcom come in as they have the pace and ability to beat their marker and having Messi feed them in would help the team so much.
