The thing about Man United is, only three coaches have ever won titles for them in their history. Three managers have won their 20 titles.

Gimps with no knowledge of the history of the game and think football began in 1992 always say that Man United are far bigger than Man City, but the clubs were founded before the advent of the twentieth century and that simply wasn't true at all until 1958 and United exploiting sympathy for Munich (as they continue to do to this day). In fact City helped them with money a few times (see below for money issues) and allowed them to play at Maine Road after Old Trafford was bombed in the war.

So the fact is this is just United reverting to their usual. The Busby and Ferguson eras were outliers (more so the Ferguson one).

They were never a consistent, long-term challenger. Not saying any club in England really was. But United fans are some of the most arrogant, deluded and ultra-entitled fans I have ever seen. They think it's their right to win trophies, that they deserve it as a club (yes, I have seen it from them).

Look at some of their slogans 'not arrogant, just better', 'this is Manchester United'. The latter especially used as if that somehow means everyone else should bend over and not stand in the way of their glory.

Ironically, their incredible arrogance makes them the most UNdeserving of clubs. New Man City fans who don't know any better are entitled, but a lot of the older ones paid their dues, they stood on the Kippax in the 90s while they were getting hammered in the lower divisions. If it all ended for them tomorrow they'd accept it (those ones) because they have been through it and proved they have the mental fortitude to withstand it. They'd remember the good times of the present era.

But United aren't like that. For them, they deserve success for eternity. Because they (laughably) view themselves as the biggest club in the world.

People in here talking about United getting back to being successful. What most of you people don't understand is that the 90s and 2000s is THE ANOMALY for United. Not the norm. Even in the 70s and 80s they were a poor game-raising cup team who never challenged. They did well to recover from Munich and the loss of the Babes, then Ferguson through sheer force and bullying made them a force (mainly domestically) in his era.

Even their European Cup record is distinctly unimpressive. Not just how many they have won, but the fact that they rarely trouble the later stages of the competition. They've never been a consistent force in Europe, certainly not close to the extent Liverpool have been. They've never had a period of domination like the top Euro clubs have had.

But that Ferguson era at least is over now. The vast majority of their history is distinctly unimpressive, and they nearly went out of business twice if not for two wealthy benefactors, John Henry Davies and James Gibson.

What you are seeing now is what Man United have been like through most of their history. It's just giving a bit of paint and polish on the shite because it immediately follows their golden era, and because we live in a world of mass media, internet and globalisation that constantly reinforces Man United propaganda in the media. That's partly why they still attract clueless lemmings despite winning fuck all - the indoctrinating powers of the English media. They are the establishment club.

A lot of lads on here aren't from the UK, so probably don't know about parts of the history of football in England. This might open some eyes.

Don't buy into it.

damn..10hag and bruno seem best buds now. Latter finally recognized coach was on right end of things and did improve his game.
Had a nasty quarrel around february me believes.

Double W because Portugal needed Bruno 1.0 instead 2.0 as now kept looking for players in better position that botched them(ronaldo)
