Am I the only one that thinks it's not 100% Moyes' fault that United have had this terrible season? Sure, he's been bad tactically but this United squad have been needing an overhaul for about 2 or 3 years now. Even if Ferguson stayed, I think with the age in the squad and lack of signings; they would've finished 3rd or 4th. Vidic hasn't been the player he was for a few years now and same with Ferdinand. Meanwhile, Ferguson had to call upon a 2,000 year old Paul Scholes to give him some stability in midfield last season.

Let's look at the age of the core of the squad:

Evra - 32
Ferdinand - 35
Vidic - 32
Giggs - 40
Van Persie - 30
Carrick - 32
Rooney - 28
Mata - 25
Kagawa - 25
De Gea - 23

I'm not trying to say Moyes is a genius who has shit players because he's made poor decisions both tactically and personnel wise but United definitely need to make 2 or 3 important signings in the summer whether they are continuing with Moyes or not. They need to build around Rooney, Mata, and De Gea. Also, I don't understand why Kagawa gets so little minutes. They need to make him a first team player or sell him.
