We'd be doing a great disservice to ourselves by buying a young talent now because we'd only be hindering their future development. Acquiring them later might be more beneficial since they'd have more time to fulfill their potential.

Yeah and 18m isn't THAT much. It'd be at least twice that for Sane for example. And if it's about price, then Deulofeu is our best option, but as you say, they need to fulfill their potential for to beneficial for both us and the player.

What happened to guy that wasnt good for Barca first team and had to leave?
- Got experience, team built around him, confidence.
Returning "home" he will lose everything what is working fir him and transform to average player again. We shold stay away from this guy, and age and money is not the only reason.

By that logic we should also never loan or sell players players with buyback ever.

You know Nolito age, right ?
He is on a decline, even fast one if you take away all I mentioned above from him.
He needed all career experience and years, seasons and few teams to find a way to play 1 good season now. But now is late, or at least should be for Barcelona.
Not comparablw to young players who have room for improvement.

He is not even cheap option and cant play all forward positions, only Lw.

Nolito has been playing well for Celta for awhile now.

Speaking of which he's been gone since the 15th of December, and what's the status of his injury? weird that their hasn't been much news (Besides the transfer stuff).

Nolito hasn't only had 1 good season.

Yeah but there are many players that are having solid seasons at mid-table clubs. Nolito isnt anything special-just solid player at his peak. And he had only 1 GOOD season. Solid season is only solid, and most of his were just that.

Is he now playing good season ?

How much would it take to bring pedro back instead of nolito. Plus with the likes of rafinha, roberto munir/sandro and possibly even halilovic we could have plenty of options to cover the front three next season if we didnt want to sign anyone

He's been injured for a while now.

Which is another reason to avoid him.

Too risky considering all, potentially not even a big gain if join and bad move for the future.

He would not even being considered for Barca if Lucho had not coached him at Celta.

Wait, what?
Do you actually suggest that Nolito is just a one-season-wonder?
Lolz to my milkshake

Nolito was great already during his time at Barca B. In fact, the Spaniard did so well that even Pep actually wanted to promote him to the first team. But Nolito decided to leave because he wanted to be regular in an another club and it's hard to blame him because David Villa was the undoubtedly starter. During his first season at Benfica, Nolito turned out to be one of the absolute best players in Primeira Liga. He did well in Granada and now at Celta Vigo.

Didnt say that. Just that he had many solid seasons, and only one good one. You think he is "wonder"? I dont. To me he is just solid player finally found right enviorment and perfect time for him to play good football in mid-table team. Nothing special here. He would play for stronger team if he really is good as you suggest considering he is somewhat career-hunter, but instead he played for Barca B, Benfica, Granada and Celta.

And he wasnt "great" and even if he was that is only in B team which isnt even representative of his level. Mind you that he was "senior" playing with kids back then.
And if he left because of Villa-Pedro to pursue his career, now it is even bigger competition in squad with him being older player withou potential to grow more.

Well, it seems you haven't really a clue about Nolito's carrer if you really think he only made a good season and that's what I argue against. As I told you in my previous post, Nolito one of Benfica's absolute best players in his debut season. Nolito broke a club record, for more consecutive goals in his first games for the club, he scored in like 8 or 9 matches in a row, that record belonged to Eusébio. But during his next season, Jorge Jesus didn't like him and benched Nolito for Bruno César, who wasn't even a winger. The Spaniard joined Granada and was arguably one of the main reasons why Granada avoided to be relegated before he rejoined with Lucho at Celta and has played great since then. And I won't be surprised if he even become a starter for La Roja during Euro 2016.

I'm not really sure if you're aware of it, but there's a lot of good players outside the absolute best teams, they just don't get enough attention and media coverage due to their club adress. It's not until this season that people finally realized how damn good Nolito actually is.

You're right that Nolito would've played for stronger club, but the Spaniard himself said Barcelona is the only club he would leave for.
So it's not because of he's not good enough...

And it was a smart choice to leave Barca, Nolito wouldn't become the player he is today.
There's a lot of players who've been able to grow more after being 30+, it's not unlikely Nolito will be in the same category.

In what term do you mean that Nolito "is on a decline" when he's at his peak?
He was already proven to be a great player before this season started.
A player can grow even if they are past 30+, not just younger players...

Name other players who cost €18M and is as good as Nolito in order to deliever now?

Which is another reason to avoid him.

And why wouldn't he be a huge gain for us?

I don't know, Nolito would probably be needed even if Lucho wasn't our manager.
There's no other players who cost €18M and is better than Nolito.
