Marc Bartra

Yeah, he should be selfish and go because that's what's best for Barca, no?
I wonder if some of you actually support Barca or individuals

What exactly is best for Barca? Even our 3rd choice CB doesn't get decent enough playing time, and our 4th choice getting to play is something rare. Bartra is 5th choice. How does him staying in any way benefit the club?

Bartra wouldn't be a starter at Bayern. That move wouldn't make sense. I think he'll stay, anyway.

The same was said when Thiago left. Bayern was packed in midfield, he would never get to play it was said, and it wouldnt make sense.

Why is Pep trying to kill our future though? And Txiki? Please show some respect and dont exploit these ridiculous release clauses we give our youth players.

Pep signing players who would otherwise rot on the bench and making them stars in Germany is not him trying to kill our future, it's improving the future of the kids he signs and the club he is managing.

How do we know the future of Thiago was so much brighter in Bayern? Either way, they shouldnt exploit these ridiculous release clauses though. Give us a fair price at least. Txiki and Pep should show some respect for their former club.

The board had every intention of selling Thiago for the low cost he went for. That was the whole reason why he was benched even after we had won the league- to ensure his release clause dropped. We could discuss exactly why the board wanted him gone so badly (*cough* *cough* Neymar) for days. Paying a player's buyout clause isn't disrespectful, either. If Lucho or the board gave a single fuck about Bartra staying next season it would have been relatively easy to get him the minutes he needed to not see his release clause drop. Contrary to what many Bartra detractors may say, he isn't vastly inferior to any of the CBs who are in front of him. If Pep were to sign any player for anything more than the buyout clause that would be solid ground to sack him, coming from Bayern's point of view.

I think Thiago is a much better player. Never thought he would rot in bayern's bench. But Bartra would, imo.
The fault of those release clauses are on those who put them there. Can't blame others for exploiting them.

Its not Pep who negotiates what Bayern should pay, but when Bayern (or City) go after our players they otherwise wouldnt go for because of their very low release clause, it shows a lack of respect by Pep and Txiki IMO. Just as other clubs dont exploit the Webster ruling which says that any player can just buy out their own contract if they have been with the club for 3 years and move wherever they want to.

Bayern and Pep are just doing what's best for their club, which is what we should've thought about before we put this stupid release clause in to his contract. The people who sorted his contract are the only people to blame if he does leave.

I think it is both. Pep luring away our best young players with better wages, the chance to play for Pep and promises of more playing time is a problem for us. We wont have another Xavi and Iniesta again when they can just leave for peanuts to Pep or City even if we want them to stay. Iniesta didnt get a fixed starter position until he was 24 years old. These days, 21 year olds can just leave us with hardly any transfer fee.

Exactly. He would get the same amount of minutes at Bayern.
We should send him out on loan to a Europa level club where he's a starter and gets major playing time .
He's too good to rot on the bench but he shouldn't be thrown in the deep end at a major club.
He should go on loan, get regular playing time and then we should make a decision .
