They should play Bartra, he has a lot of potential. I just don't see why we should get a world class CB and throw Bartra's and Muniesa's potential away. Puyol is still good enough for the starting eleven, at least until next season. If we get a decent back-up for them and offload Mascherano, that's fine with me. But we shouldn't go for overpriced CB's when we have talented players who can become just as good and don't cost us anything.

What are you talking about still good enough for the starting 11? He is still the best CB we have and will be so for a few more years. Other then that I agree with you. Give Bartra a chance to develop into a world class defender at Barca. Or else he will become that somewhere else. And to Muniesa too.

Agreed. Puyol may be old, but I rate him higher than Piqué still (at least in defence), and he is an excellent captain on the pitch.

I don't trust Zubi in making transfers too tbh but next year will be the elections and with Laporta entering it ,I think that Rossel might force some extra summer spending and take no risks at all

At the age of 35 next April ,while Puyol (my all time favorite player since 2002) has been our best CB in his whole career ,you should always be aware that sometimes a sudden drop of form can happen at that age ,Puyol now is good ,but that might or might not last long
Bartra as I said isn't that young ,for example all names Iniesta123 has said is younger than him ,he is 22 ,not a kid anymore,yes he has long career ahead of him ,and yes he was to some extent a late bloomer ,but it is just about time to start getting some regular football and see what he can/can't do ,I think we should loan him next year and see what can he do with other teams regularly ,just like we did with Botia and Fontas ,I see Bartra as good CB in Liga , though I am not sure he is future starter in a team like Barca
As for Munesa ,He had too many injuries in his young career to count on him ,that is why I see him just as 5th CB next season ,with Puyol/Pique/new CB rotating at the starting line up ,Mascherano after them
he might force his way into bigger role ,heard nothing but gr8 things about him since he was 15 .but then again a team like Barcelona who competes on every level and try to win everything can't depend on 21 injury prone CB

He and Sergi are a day apart aren't they? Seems like yesterday they were 15 in the Nike premier cup at Old Trafford.

Barcelona did not yet meet with defender Marc Muniesa (21) to discuss his future. The contract ot the Catalan player expires in June. [md]

I don't think he's getting a renewal :/

Personally no fan of Muniesa. Guy was talented, but is too injury prone.. However, still weird that Sergi Gómez earned a contract renewal (Muniesa > Sergi Gómez). Both not enough for the first team.
