It's like they give us hope only to crush it days later...

So his strategy is to be so polite that it becomes irritating or what? What f... strategy? There is no strategy, he is staying in Paris after yesterday's charade. And I honestly don't care anymore.

If we are incapable to buy a great midfielder for 2 years and we see only Verratti as a solution than we are idiots and we do not deserve anything better than this circus.

I think it's very much possible that PSG gave him a water boarding first; then they played good cop and said - "Look, you're not going this year, come what may. Play nice, and maybe we can look at a transfer next year."

If that were the case, Verratti would know playing ball would be in his best interest; can't go this year anyway, but next best thing - make some good moolah, get the fans behind him for one more season, and try and leave next year.

This year is not going to happen. It would be healthy for the forum to shut this thread for sometime

Really? You must have pretty high opinion about Nasser. All he wanted to do is flex a muscle and show the world his machismo. He doesn't give a crap about Veratti or any other player. They are his slaves , who cares what they want to do with their career. He can make Veratti his gardener if he wishes. That article in MD shows our desperation because it seems like no one wants to come to Barca anymore. Last year we had bunch of players turning us down and this year even mediocre players rejecting our offers. I'm a bit embarrassed with current situation.

Not at all. I'm sure Nasser did want to show off PSG's "strength". It's just that seeing the quick 180 by Verratti, I think it's possible that this was the arrangement they came up with. You're right - Nasser doesn't give a shit about Verratti - which is why getting his image restored (in his opinion anyway) and getting the fans and Qatari's behind him now is the most important. Whether he actually lets Verratti go next year or not is another matter though.

It's very much possible that the original theory of PSG telling him they are going to ruin his career and let him sit out his contract is true; just thought that there could be another possibility since Verratti did such a quick 180.
