Marco Verratti

How a country like France, with strong union rights, doesn't have release clauses in contracts?

While that's a question to discuss otherwise, I don't think it would have made a difference in this case. Nasser would have inserted a ludicrous release clause (something like 500m or 1 billion maybe) last year when he signed the contract; especially considering we've been after him for sometime now. I see 0 chance of us having activated a release clause to buy him out - so back to square 1.

He can't be blamed honestly after what his agent said. He had to go public and defend his statements or else his life at PSG would be a mess. His agent really stepped out of his line and said more than he should. Even if what he said was true you can't say all that for a club you have a contract with and are going to stay there. Pretty sure verratti agrees with what his agent said but just had to decline his comments because of diplomacy.

VERRATTI is a pussy. Fuck him. He doesn't have a winner's mentality and he's at the right club.
That video is cringe worthy and makes both VERRATTI and PSG look stupid. PSG is like the domineering, overbearing bully and VERRATTI the spineless victim who could never stand up for himself.

There is little to nothing that you can do about buying a player from a club who is unwiling to come and sit down to negotiate about that certain player, especially when that player is on a long-term contracf.

Half of the blame is placed on Verratti for signing a 4 years contract. And, to be honest this is not a jab at our resident PSG supporter but next season will come and PSG will relive the same saga they've been living for a while now which is getting eliminated from the CL, that will only fuel the fire more in Verratti's heart about moving away from PSG but Nasser is a hard nut to crack.

So, pretty much the solution is to Verratti and for Barca to ever stand a realstic chance of getting him is if he refuses the next annual contract extension that he gets and pretty much makes it known that he'll run down his contract length and leave much like Kroos's situation with Bayern.

In todays market and for the hefty sum players are going for, It's just hard for Barca to keep up despite the club also being rich, Barto took from this year budget last summer to sign flops. So, he can't take from next year budget. It's hard to convince a rich club like PSG to sell Verratti for 80M when Pogba not too long ago went for a much higher fee. Also, It's not reasonable to blow your entire budget on one player when you're lacking in other areas too.

Sorry for the long post, people, just my two cents on this saga that we face in every summer.

Same video but with English subtitles

Edit: Just clicked your link and saw there's already translation, lol.

Oh well...

 Typical prisoner speech, PSG/football version. Wouldn't be surprised if Cavani was behind the camera prepared to shoot some balls point blank to his face.

Let's not ban anyone, we are joking (hopefully) with Paulinho ourselves. He had his little fun, saga is over now so we should be back to normal.

It's like they give us hope only to crush it days later...

Mundo Deportivo, Sport ... are massive joke. You should ban them from barcaforum community, not me.

That's a good post, one in a thousand of stupidity/trolling/ragepost here.

How Paris can reasonably sell Verratti for 80M when Pogba costs 110 M€ ?

If he has only one year of contrat, he could push for a transfer, then Nasser could consider a transfer.

I hope Verratti is gonna sign in Barca but not before june 2020. As a parisian/barca supporter, i know that Barca will have no problem to attract other good player. Maybe not as good as Verratti, there is only one Verratti in the world. But there are plenty of good players. Barca has a strong backbone, we finished second laster year, Luis Enrique's tactics were pretty shitty honestly.

The mercato is more and more hard for every big clubs every year.
Paris is not changing the mercato game, maybe the prices increased a little bit. City is much more a massive problem, they have +40 good players under contract. And before Chelsea had the same strategy, but they changed.
