I don't get why some of you are saying that Montoya is somewhat mediocre and lacks potential and upside. He's a right back, not a winger or a forward. His job is to defensively and offensively secure his flank which he does marvelously. He shows unbelievable maturity while doing so and doesn't make many errors plus he has great positioning. What more could you want? He was on par with Hugo Mallo (but now I'd say he's better since Mallo is out for a LONG time with a serious injury) although I can't compare him to Carvajal because I haven't seen him play. If Montoya develops well, he could easily be the most reliable and solid right back in the world.
