I'm really impressed by him, fits in perfectly and more cautious than alves which is good for us tactically. I won't say he is better defensively than alves because when he actually does go back to cover that area he is good on one vs ones.

I'd like him to play more and hopefully sell alves next summer with Montoya the new starter. Alves stays for one year to help Neymar integrate. After that his Brazilian buddy can be adriano.

I have always loved Alves and would prefer him to stick around. That said, we need a more robust rotation with Montoya at LB too. We cannot play with two attacking FBs like this.

The fact is as attacking fullback Alves offers nothing better than Alba.Why would you keep Alves..and not give Montoya the starting spot at RB to bring balance..Alves is not the same he used to be anymore
