Martin Odegaard

Devil May Cry
This satire is really funny, some of my favorites:
"Atletico Madrid – I wanted to join a Football team, not WWE." I laughed way too hard.
Barcelona – I almost joined Barca, but they first wanted me to enroll at Yale School of Drama to get a degree on theatrics. I obviously refused. Also, I was told that Luis Suarez loves Norwegian food – and I want to become an elite Football player, not someone’s tasty meal.
Bayern Munich - They had this dartboard with Cristiano Ronaldo’s face on it with the words ‘Lucifer’ printed on it. They also think that he is the leader of Illuminati and most of the evil that happens in this world are his brainchildren.

Looks like he wanted to join Real Madrid......because then the referees cannot touch him.

It's too funny how he deleted all that in his social media profiles. Yeah, and flirt with all big clubs and see who offers more.
And people still compare him with Halilovic who only wanted to sign for Barca

"Flirt with all big clubs", you say that as if he's been exploiting them or something. He was invited wasn't he? Obviously he wanted to visit them all before deciding where to move, this was a big decision. And the fact that money affected his decision doesn't make him a bad person as you're pretty close to implying, something that Bertus pointed out to exhaustion yesterday. I can't for the life of me understand this tone...

Some of you guys are talking as if Martins way of handling all of this has somehow been unethical, when the truth is that he's been very professional throughout the whole process, not mentioning a word to the media when they have stuck a microphone in his face, kept a low profile etc.

And about those pictures. He's obviously a fan of Messi, but RM has probably told him to delete those posts mainly because the media in Spain would use the fact that he has them on his timeline to create a storm out of nothing everytime they see fit.

I remember reading that we nearly didn't sign Leo because we would have messed up our youth team budget with his treatment. Jorge then said something like "my son will be cheap for you". Needless to say he was right. Having said that it was only about 1,500 a month for his treatment not 80,000 a week.

It was in the Messi book by Guillem Balague. Weird style of writing but reasonably interesting about how he nearly went to River Plate, how the family was promised things time and time again, how we nearly didn't sign him and about he hated losing as a child. Only about a quarter of the way through but I would recommend it.

I am sure if he had picked another club, they would have something even funnier to say about Real Madrid. ;)

i think it's funny how the norwegian members are reacting. what will it be like when he is the star of the real first team?

If I were Odegaard, I'd have chosen Bayern. Plenty of great young players (I would LOVE to be pals with Alaba, dude seems awesome) and older role models (Lahm et al). But the lure right now of rubbing shoulders with the Ballon d'OR winner, as well as the most expensive player in the world, and that enormous salary obviously spoke volumes. Don't blame him at all.

Wonder how it must feel like for a young boy, going from a small club in Norway and then straigth to a club of Real Madrids magnitude. It must be something.
