Martin Odegaard

I've only seen him play full match (or close) when he played vs. Croatia. Was a disappointing game from him but he's only a kid.
Loan by all means. Those tend to work better for Real than for Barca.

In many matches, he has been fairly anonymous, with a few flashes of briliance here and there. And in a few matches he has shown that he could really become something special, doing things few at his age could dream to do, even on the national team has done things with the ball that the rest of our seniors couldnt hope to achieve, though Norways NT isnt anything special. That said, he is a unfinished product, he has alot of work to do, but there is no doubt he has alot of potential. For me, he isnt as much a potential starter for Real Madrid as he is the future hope of Norway, thats what matters most for me. We have been really starved of having a real international talent for quite some time now, hope Martin can change that.

In the Croatia game he was played as a striker which was stupid since he received no service as the midfield was useless. Should have played him in an advanced midfield role back then.

I see him quite similar to James Rodriguez. That'd be a good comparison of his style of play IMO.

Yeah, striker, winger etc etc, he should get the role as amc to thrive, it seems that is is best role. But i guess Martin has to adapt to the wishes of the managers as well, teamplay and all that stuff, you know.
I understand well that he cant have that at Madrid, at least not yet, with all the players coming in and out. But at the NT there is no reason not to let him have that position, as we really dont have any other talents to speak of, the team needs to be build around him. But the NT coach is a moron, unfortunately.

I'm fed up from this guy after the latest report that he is surprised /shoc

i'll repeat what i said on twitter

I'd love to smack him on the face & tell him to grow up &earn your living through your efforts ,Zlatan was right that he needs to leave his dad & grow up
I trust zidane eye for talent and excluding Odegaard last year must have been for a valid reason but seems the spoiled child & so arrogant to see that

Punished and thrown away last year by zidane and now surprised the club is loaning him out !did you earn your spot ? or you expect to walk in the first team without much effort otherwise you go & run crying to your daddy ?

Everything about Odegaard smells trouble,a spoiled brat who think he is good enough to play in Realmadrid first team but did jack shit till now...

If he doesn't grow up and stop acting like Daddy's child i believe his career will follow many kids who showed promise at early years and than buried in some mickey mouse league

Yeah really easy for a 16 year old kid who comes from a small city in Norway and is now living in freaking Madrid "to leave his daddy". You are the ones who threw Millions at him and told him he had the right to train with the 1st team (if rumours are true). So if Ødegaard really is a spoiled brat, RM would be one of the reasons he is.

Frankly it's part of the problem. It's not him, it's his dad who wants what's best for his son and delusionally believes he belongs in the first team from the get go. I don't expect a lot of drama with this unless they have really screwed up ambitions. They just need a chat with Zidane and/or other cantera officials who will tell them straight up the kid needs to learn first and foremost. Messi debuted at 17 yrs old and scored a few months later and he's become the best. Nothing wrong with trying to aim for the same for Odegaard, but these stories happen only in specific circumstances when the club needs fresh, new blood.

It should end up okay. I believe they'll agree to the loan eventually.

I am not saying Martin should stay with his dad at all costs btw. Maybe he really hinders his son's development because of his behavior or whatever. But for someone who does not know anything about their relationship it is stupid to say that Martin should ditch his dad.

That period where he was checking out clubs facilities like he was God on Earth. lol.
The clubs are also to blame for his delusional state.

For sure we take part of the blame.. they had ambitions & we tagged along to make the deal happen.. the concept itself is screwed up & part of the reason Zidane excluded him last season because his head was not with the Castilla team
