Good that we're not all the same then. CL will always be the big one for me. Win that and the other trophies don't matter. If Real Madrid wins the CL this season, everybody will be talking about their amazing season and Penaldo winning the golden ball. Not many will care about us winning the league and/or the cup.

Winning league title shows consistency throughout the season while you need to have a bit of luck to win CL. One bad day and you are out. That's why no team has defended their title in 25 years in current format.

Just look at RM this season. They can win CL without facing any top team until the final. With other words - the best team usually wins league title while we can't always say the same about CL.

It's also no guarantee Penaldo will win Golden Ball if RM win CL. It's a year of Euro and Copa America so if Portugal goes out early in Euro and Argentina win Copa I think Messi can still win Balon D'or even without winning the CL title. That said, personally I don't really care about all individual awards. Even Messi don't seem to care about them anymore.

Another transfer announcement before their cup match just like the Goetze one. I expect Dortmund to lose this final. Lewandowski, Goetze and Humels. Who's next? Aubameyang or Reus? lol Why not just give them the Bundesliga and DFB Cup for the next season now.

for me a CL winner that doesn't win the league is a joke. Best in Europe but not the best in your own country

And when Real Madrid won their 4th CL-title, they were not even the best team in Madrid

Another transfer announcement before their cup match just like the Goetze one.

Dortmund, being a stock exchange listed company must disclose any deals that could influence the stock immediately.

Which also includes that any possible transfers have a much larger chance of being true rather than false.

I expect Dortmund to lose this final.

BVB had to disclose the deal about Götze joining Bayern, but it didn't prevent them from steamroller Real Madrid in a CL semi final the day after.

If Dortmund lose the DFB-final, then so be it.

Lewandowski, Goetze and Humels. Who's next? Aubameyang or Reus? lol Why not just give them the Bundesliga and DFB Cup for the next season now.

Lewy, Götze and even their captain Hummels joined Bayern on their own will.

BVB simply have to improve their status in order to keep the likes of Reus & Aubameyang.

Mats Hummels' statement on his transfer to Bayern via Facebook

Since my transfer to FC Bayern was announced today, I want to take this chance to say a few things myself about this.

As you can probably imagine, these past weeks were nerve-racking for me too, since I had to make the hardest decision in my life. In the end I came to the conclusion to take a new challenge for me, even moreso in my home town, where my family and several friends live.

It's clear to me that it will be difficult for some people to understand my decision. But after eight and a half really fantastic years in Dortmund, it was time for me to try something new.

It is with a heavy heart that I leave the club and the team with which I grew up and was able to celebrate great successes. Therefore, I am grateful to everyone who assisted in that. To you, the the extraordinary fans of this great club. To all the employees who work "behind the scenes". And, naturally, to the three coaches I was able to experience here, as well as Michael Zorc and Hans-Joachim Watzke.

And especially I want to thank my teammates, because they - regardless of the fact that, without them, these past few years would not have been possible - always had an open ear for me.

Of course I've seen so many messages, comments and posts trying to convince me to stay at BVB. And also the massive response after our game against Wolfsburg, regardless of at the stadium, at the training grounds or in the supermaket, I was very touched. This says a lot about the unique BVB fans, and I know very well to treasure that.

I will now give it my all in the remaining traning sessions and games to honor this time with a worthy farewell. To return to the Ruhrpott with the cup in the hands after the final!

Thank you!

Mats

Which they won't because they can't. Bayern is a safe bet for a player, no other club in Germany is + they pay the highest wages. So those two mentioned will finally leave as well, not necessarily for Bayern, but just a matter of time basically.

Hardest decision in my life my ass. All the stuff Hummels has said previously in defiance to Bayern was either fake or he had a change of heart in the blink of an eye.

Screw you Hummels. May you never perform well in that red and white kit.

To be honest, BVB just absolutely sucks at selling key players. Kagawa and Sahin went for a joke of a fee, Götze had a release clause that didn*t put anyone off, no fee at all for Lewa, and now Hummels goes for what, 30m? If your pricing is that much of a joke, then it's no surprise that you would constantly get raided for your players.

Isn't Hummels deal rumored to be either 35M or 38?

Agreed. On another note, the BVB fans I've talked to today are actually happy with the fee for Hummels and think that Watzke/Zorc did a good job here. Can't say I'd agree with that. Either I'm missing something or the BVB fans already have low expectations in that regard.
