I know that but of the up and coming managers in the world today he is among the best imo. So I don't think his managerial ability will hinder Dortmund in europe.

Ok, I've watched alot of his games for Dortmund and Germany and have come to the conclusion that buying him will probably be a gamble depending on which version of him decides t show up. If it's the good version of him who makes crisp passes, mops up loose balls, performs his defensive duties to a high standard then buy him. If the crappy version of him where he gets outpaced by a snail, gets ripped to pieces by a decent striker, his passing is off shows up then no. He strikes me as very similar to David Luiz in that playing him as a DM would probably be the better option. Hummels playing next to Pique would be a mistake I feel, they are too similar, I was more impressed with Subotic from the games I watched, he seems a much better fit.

If we can get him I saw go for Dede.
