I think u only have watched Hummels for 2-3 times. He is a great and world class defender and would do great for us. In the summer there are 2 options: Luiz will join us or Hummels will join us.

I have watched hummels very often and i want neither him nor david luiz, if we must be looking for a CB it ehould be somebody better than a converted CB in mascherano and they both arent

More than enough options. People who think Luiz and Hummels are the only options clearly only want a 'big name' and don't care how these CBs will fit in at Barcelona. We still have Pique - who isn't going anywhere the coming years - and Bartra, both ball playing defenders. Next to that you need someone physically good, strong in the air and complementary to those two. Luiz and Hummels are both way too similar in playstyle and strenghts/weaknesses to Pique and Bartra.

Let's hope the board doesn't think that way, but who am I kidding. It will probably happen like you say, but I sincerely hope for the future of our club that we don't chase Luiz and Hummels...

Was supposed to happen on the final day of the Jan transfer window but they couldn't find a replacement for him quick enough, so the deal got cancelled.

Balanta isn't better option,not even close
Manga would cost more and richer teams are there ,I might go as far as saying that in reality he isn't an option ,Man City is going after him and he will go for highest offer
Benatia is the only one who can be considered better option
And btw I don't think being similar to Pique as a problem at all

Hummels is exactly that. Sometimes I feel that people think defenders who are good on the ball are like Piqué so they prefer those who just hoof the ball every time they get it even if it means the death of our playing style.

Mangala and Balanta are both overrated and the former would be very hard to get.

The problem is that he is too slow, and we dont need that in a team troubling with pacey attackersand we need a defender who can complement pique by stopping attacks early while pique sweeps behind!
