Matthijs de Ligt

Of course he is, wouldn t you be?

Board has made an offer and they are sticking with it, even though he received better ones. So for him it s a choice between more money or club he supposedly wants to play for. He will be rich in both cases.
I don t care which agent he has, the choice is ultimately his.

Nope. I would rather stay living in Barcelona, than moving to Manchester for more money.

Depends on how much more money and also other factors. The point was, that it makes perfect sence for pro players to be interested in money and
it shouldn t be held againt them.

If you can double up your salary elsewhere. Would you stay working at your current job ?
Most people wouldn't.

That's how life is.

It's a hard decision to make for a 19 year old kid.

He want to play for Barca (At least that's what we want to believe). But he can earn almost twice as much in Manchester, if the rumors are true.

Still think it's bullshit. Don't think any club will pay him 14 mil a year.
I think he will provide more clarity about his future, when the Nation League is done.

Hopefully for him he will make the right choice.

Alexis Sanchez doubled his salary moving to ManU, and now no team wants him so he will end up being an unwanted player rather than a top player when he was in Arsenal taking less salary.
De Light is just 19 yo, if he moved to ManU he is destroying few years from his career in a shitty team, and he will not earn even same salary after being more senior

Then again he could come here and see his game regress at a four speed under Valverde ...

United are gonna guarantee his place and offering to rebuild their team around him ... we are not even willing to give him any guarantees of even playing ...

build a team around, like they did with Pogba right? see how that turned out.. the player they want to build around wants to leave

De Ligt was being billed on here as a tough, level headed captain at the tender age of 19 who is ready to earn his place, someone who knows whats best for their career - i believed it until he got involved with Raiola

Exactly, they are saying the same more than 4 years now since they brought Zlatan and Falcao and then Pogba. This team is dead and will remain dead for more coming years.

There is nothing called guaranteed playing time, if he did not perform he will not play, he is coming to one of the top teams in the world where no player has guaranteed playing time (except for someone like Messi), and no one tells me with EV some players like Rakitic or Suarez have guaranteed playing time because EV is not a coach to measure against.

But you are a Barca Fan. He isnt...so his decision will be business minded. Plus, he is 19...another transfer a few years from now is possible

Nope. Barcelona is just a thousand times better city than Manchester.

Again, I could earn twice as much somewhere else, but I prefer to stay here.

In the end I believe he'll come.

Raiola probably told him to be patient until the transfer window opens to try and milk as much money as possible.

There's no need for him to hurry at the moment.

Liverpool apparently is joining the race for De Ligt according to Bild, which claimed that Klopp asked his club to get De Ligt.

Krap .. that’s not good news for us .. that said he will be up against the impressive Gomez for the other CB position alongside VVD unless Klopp plays 3 at the back ..

Liverpool don't even need de Ligt. They have van Dijk, Gomes and Matip who can be starters.... plus they have Lovren for backup.

We actually badly need de Ligt. Pique is getting older and is actually declining. Umtiti has plenty of injury problems..... so we badly need that starting CB for now and the future. It's a no brainer for us. Plus, I'm not sold on Lenglet.
