Nothing self-righteous about it. Do you honestly think he will get better playing 5 minutes once every 3 games? He is clearly not trusted by Koeman, the example is the Alaves game where Puig did very well and then didn't see minutes for weeks.

The situation won't change for him next season at Barcelona either. He's got the tools to develop into a very good footballer but without playing regularly that won't happen.

He is at Barcelona now, and he is doing well when given the chance, he doesn't moan at all but is the first to cheer from the bench (even if it is to the cameras)
Of course he needs to play! He will play soon enough. As he is good, I want it to be in Barcelona, but as I said, even if he is willing to stay and fight for the rest of his carreer, Barcelona will of course tell him to go after a while.

In general, I prefer players willing to stay and fight for their place. It's almost always the opposite, them leaving the first chance they get.
I don't think I ever saw a player constantly impress so much with so little time. Cristiano Ronaldo was a bit like that in his first years at Manchester United, always bringing a lot of energy and then getting back to the bench...

I am not so fond of loans overall, don't see them working out so often. Best would probably have been if he could've played for Barcelona B this season too, very strange to see Ilaix play 90minutes there, and then get on earlier than Puig yesterday too...
And very strange to see a young and fit player only get what a couple of 100 mins game time in a season. He has played under 200 minutes in the league! Of course it won't work in the long run!
