Pedri is better dribbler, passer, goalscorer, defending ability... Plus 3 years younger. Simply far better.

Puig is only older and more agile.

They are not even comparable.

Being honest I'm just not particularly blown away with either of them right now. Pedri did look immense at the beginning of the season though and has the higher ceiling.

Make a brainless tackle and get a yellow card. But go on.

He lacks composure and emotional intelligence in the sense of controlling his own emotions. He was too excited running wanting to do everything when he entered as the case in his 5 minute games.

Its like dating a nuthead and thinking she is special and creative but realizing later on that she has mental issues

A highlights reel that long tells all need to know and wont show his mindless running about in game either.

Yea, that's where a top manager is supposed to intervene. Running is great, but it needs to be cohesive and shared by other players. I know you don't like him, but I'm hoping we'll see Pedri and Puig under a better manager who plays more pass and move football.

Jeepers so is Koemans fault that Puig runs like a headless chicken?

It is much more accurate that top coaches will bin players who cant do the basics when have been told to.

From Pep to any other coach there are players that at some point dont get it.

Don't think Koemans' instructions are very good tbh. Doesn't seem like the manager to instruct his players wisely. This can be seen when Puig isn't playing too. Moriba does a lot of mindless running as well.

Maybe because they are young they play with more intensity and speed, willing to make a difference. This enthusiasm and energy need to be channeled and used well.

Besides, don't know if you noticed, but besides that mindless running at times (he has to hold position more, and press less like he's the Last of the Mohicans), the kid knows how to move, how to pass, and how to initiate attacks in other ways than just the boring standard side pass to the open fullback.

Dont agree with that at all that the coaching team are not instructing the players and Puig has been through years and years of coaching at Barca anyway.

If Puig is a headless chicken that is on him.

He makes all standard side and back pass. No through ball or whatever like that. Just because he swings his legs quicker.

Pedri/De Jong plays under same coach and they don't run like a headless chicken.
