Anyone with an eye or two sees Puig performs when he plays, and is underused by Koeman. It seems to be personal, as some of his best games also was followed by inexplainable periods of 0 minutes.
It makes sense that Laporta sees this too, and is dissatisfied with Koeman in this case.

Time to repeat again....

Puig was poor in three of his four starts last season.

The 'Puig always performs' lie never ceases to be repeated.

"Laporta has told Koeman either he plays Laporta or any possibility of a renewal is off the table"

Stunning! Other academy kids must see Puig as an inspiration

Puig at age 30 after only playing 40 games in 8 seasons.

Koeman in mud

The board considers Riqui Puig to be a key player in the long term of the club, for the future. @CatalunyaRadio #FCB 🇪🇸

Puig should take the direction of Monchu/Alena/Manaj/Akieme who were a bit below the level at Barcelona and went to pasteurs new. They were a bit below the level and looked to work their way up elsewhere.

But for Puig the difference is if he went on loan the club would absolutely refuse a buy option. He can go on loan and with his buddy Laporta running Puig has the peace of mind to know the club will never consider selling him. So rather than sit on the bench he could spend a year elsewhere and come back in higher regard unlike those guys above who the club loaned with buy options. And he still won't take it despite being guaranteed a long-term future here, if he is good, a loan will only assist him in succeeding here.

He just enjoys sunny Barcelona and making dumb videos with Pique on Instagram and Twitch. It is what it is, he doesn't have ambition.

Could simply be that cules enjoy Puig and want to see more of him. Whatever one sees as his flaws, he's undeniably more entertaining than this boring-ass Barca.

Puig is not the first player to fall out of favour with a Barca manager and certainly won't be the last. If he wants to play here the best way to do is is go on loan with no buy option (Laporta will absolutely ensure he doesn't get sold, golf and all that) and come back with a season of LaLiga starts under his belt proving he's good enough for the level.

Cucurella when he was interviewed a couple of months ago said he wished Puig would consider going out on loan to experience different tactics so that could help him.

What I'm getting at above. He has literally no experience and is spending key years of his development sat on a bench, learning nothing and adding nothing to his game.

I think you are misremembering this slightly, you should go back to the source and check.
I think Puig should play, but since he can't do that under Cow-man it looks like he should leave on loan, but what Cucurella has to say about it is not so interesting to me though...

A professional player who's having a career outside of Instagram stories has nothing interesting to say. Right.
