Decent enough but hard to tell what position he was being asked to play at times.

Can pass ball quickly and sharply in small spaces but his awareness to open game up is not there unless there is someone free on right wing to pass to.

Turns away from a lot of chances to open game up and seems oblivious to left hand side of pitch too often.

Had a decent game against Mallorca B until suddenly some like Nico were subbed off due to injury in midfield and gave way to Barca youngsters.

Seems pretty clear Xavi wanted him to play in between the lines higher up the pitch on the left side rather than back in his more usual roving mid support/conductor role. As usual, more inclined than the rest of the players to keep the ball moving; most of the team is still frustratingly sluggish and sloppy on distribution . Mostly received (or won) the ball in highly congested areas with back to goal and looked to move it to a more open area or to drop it to a safe player looking forward. Decent game.

Please cartwheel for a player with a better technique. Puig's weight on the pass and touch are too inconsistent for a Barca-level orchestrating midfielder. He sort of "stumbles" on the ball and has to fish it out again too often.

All right game wasn't great almost fucked up twice towards the end with sloppy passing

Will be a good role player nothing more

It's clear that he has a great short pass, is press resistant and quite energetic in his movement. But it's also clear that because he lacks minutes, and because of that he tries too hard sometimes, consequently being extremely erratic on the ball at times and is prone to making stupid mistakes, especially if he starts looking to pass backwards instead of forward, because he's afraid to fuck up. Ironic that when he did that because he didn't want to fuck up, he ended up doing exactly that, twice in the last 15 minutes and almost gave Mallorca a great chance.

Must improve on a lot of things before he's ever considered to be more than role player for us (starting only against bottom of La Liga and in the cup). Like Berkeley said, a decent game by him. Nothing more, nothing less.
