You genuinely believe the Bayern of last year was better than Barca at its peak?

Overall, no. But given that they played Klopp football (as vertical as it gets and utilizing high pitch pressing with pressing traps) in the knockout stages of the CL, which has proved time and time again that it is the kryptonite of every possession based style of football, I believe that Bayern 2013 (after the 2nd leg against Arsenal at least) would have had a very, very good chance of beating Barca at its peak.

to topic: Can somebody pls translate the rough content of that md article linking Benatia to Barca?

The fact of the matter is Bayern 2013 played against a post-prime Barca -- without a coach for half a year --, a declining Manchester United after 2008-11 great era, Arsenal (a pretty easy opponent with all due respect for Arsenal's fans over here) and Bundesliga rivals Dortmund, who they beat after a very very close game that was influenced by a massive error from Rizzoli.

What would 2013 Bayern have done against prime Barca we could never know, but my guess is they would have played the 0-0 game like Madrid did in 2011. And, just like Madrid, they would've also been made to look too scared to attack. And even if, Bayern would've beat that Barcelona, they would've beat it just like Inter or Chelsea did, with huge luck and by looking inferiour in the process.

Said greatest Barca of all time found itself struggling against a pretty easy opponent like Arsenal rather often, wouldn't you say?
And that BVB match was close only in terms of the result. Also there was not really a ref error concerning the Dante situation. But anyways...

Well, not really. They had 0 shots on target on that 3-1 on Camp Nou. If that isn't total domination nothing is.

Dante's pen. should have come with a second yellow. I've seen even red cards given for a kick in the stomach.
