Memphis Depay

He is trying to do too much and rarely is helping us. Looks like completely different than the rest of the team. He does not have speed and will never has, too massive, dribbling is not good, less than average ball control, did not see any quality in heading the ball, too wasteful in front of net...If a player is leaving free of contract, there is always a reason, of course with some exception, see Messi, Mbappe, etc.
It does not necessarily be good if is free of contract and we took only these type of players. Not sure if Aguero Ishtar make a difference. Garcia came back from Man City and personally, I did not see him as a good addition too.

He is not fast, but not as slow as people make him. He'll play soon in the center anyway. And he has been pretty good for the Netherlands there. Right now he is seldomly receving dangerous passes between the lines despite making the runs. Of course he also has been a bit wasteful with his chances when he got a good pass.

What we know so far is that he has vision and both Ansu&Dembele are the players to get to the receiving end of his passes into space.

Bruh what kind of logic is that? Mpabbe will be leaving free of contract soon to real Madrid. It's not like depay didn't have bunch of other offers.

Just like I mentioned in the other thread, he should probably gain quickness and lose a couple of kilos of muscle. It would make him a more dangerous dribbler and quicker.

If he had his dribbling ability and bit quicker feet he would be lethal

His pace is not his biggest issue.

He has shown far too much poor decision making so far...turning into trouble, diving to win fouls when refs can smell it a mile off.

Would take a game from him where he just showed the ability to shield ball and play it simple.

When in and around box can take risks more often but not losing ball so frequently when team are desperate to take the ball up the park.

Even if pace was an issue, he's not going to get any faster at 27 anyway. You'd think with that muscle mass he would be stronger in holding off challenges but like JamDav say's above, he's trying to win fouls and it's painfully obvious.

He started well but last few games have been progressively worse and to be honest his first half against Benfica was awful. Yes his strike options aren't great but should held accountable for his own individual performance too.

Fingers crossed for a good performance from him tonight.

He either a) dribbles into trouble and loses the ball or b) attempts to hold up the ball, falls down and asks for a foul
