he was a loser in this game but they are trying to pin the blame on him when actually Wilshire was probably just as bad or maybe worse if you don't consider the penalty.

Flamini made mistakes as well.

wenger's plan wasn't sustainable and pep knew the weakness from the beginning. that play that resulted in the goal occurred twice from prior to the penalty and sending off and both were almost a goal (the second would have been a goal if not for the foul). arsenal's "midfielders" cannot mark to save their lives and pep exploited it. that same play also accounted for 4/6 of their closest shots where they square the ball to Kroos and all three the midfielders are marking on one side in the wrong position and cannot get over in time.

Wilshere isn't a world class player that Arsenal paid £42.5m for though.

Understood that a factor. Nonetheless, the pragmatic public is concerned with improving. My point being, consider a player in place of Wilshire. The three of them were not up to the task (especially Ozil and Wilshire)

And ox while quick and somewhat skillful but lacks in the final third.

Iono, my biggest point is that arsenal while did have a couple good chances early were gonna lose this game regardless of sending off. As the game grew so did bayern find their feet and 3/6 goal chances came from a tactical weakness that obviously pep was exploiting and 2/6 almost arrived in goals already before sending off. Arsenal has more important things to work on then worry about refs.

Enzo Ferrari dies 1988, Mesut Ozil born 1988. LOLWUT.

Too bad he can't perform in big games like a Ferrari.

Also said he's in low spirits at the moment, he'd probably have been benched anyway, the way he's going atm he's near to useless.

Wenger says he bruised his thigh.

Was an excuse to rest him, like his alleged shoulder injury earlier this season. Resting him worked wonders with Giroud for last game, let's hope Özil can bounce back in the same way.

haha, crazy.

Yup he was dropped to the game and rightly so. Gotta get over this bad patch, take a week off, go on holiday or something.

Come back re-focused and a week off might be the best thing for him.

Ramsey's back soon, and they both feed off of one another. middle of March we should be firing on all cylinders again.

No, Oscar has been mediocre for a while now. Özil has had one poor game lately and the criticism he received was way over the top. His good performances that he produced a week before that was ignored.

He was excellent against Southampton, good against United and he did well against Liverpool. And just how is a creator supposed to create goals in a team without any good off the ball movement? His ball retention is just as good as before and his passing is as crisp as it was during his start of his Arsenal career. The only difference is that he's been slightly less mobile due to the fatigue and perhaps not as confident as you'd like. His lack of assists is due to the poor movement in the final third. Not Özil being poor. He's done well lately and before the Bayern game it looked like he was playing with full confidence again.

Daily Mail's exaggerated flop articles only prove that they don't watch the games...
