Mesut Ozil

He was one of the best players on the pitch. Decent first half, poor penalty miss but after that, he threw those stupid gloves off and shit got real. He just completely dominated in the second half . Involved in pretty much everything, always took the right decision and created plenty of chances.

Pure class.

My bad. But yeah, he's completely overrated...

He's a difference maker but not a dictator or controller. Cardiff came back really well after Arsenal had that shot cleared off the line and deserved an equaliser. He disappeared during this period. Then he provided the assist for the crucial 2nd goal.

That's what you get from Özil. He can be literally invisible yet still remain productive overall.

The King of Assists.

Özil is infamous for being incredibly lethargic for 80% of a match. But during those 20% pure ingenuity shines brighter in him than in any player on the pitch.

Here we go again...

He was involved (almost) all the time. There was a period that lasted for a few minutes in which Cardiff looked like they could go on and score. And sure, he slightly disappeared in that period. But why single him out? Every single player, apart from the defenders disappeared in that period. Before that, and after that, he was involved.

Basically, he's more involved now compared to how he played in Real Madrid.
