Mika Faye's time at Barça could be numbered. The Blaugrana club is already making progress on the transfer of the centre-back to Rennes and negotiations are starting to take shape. Unless another team makes a higher offer in the next few hours, the centre-back will be on his way to Ligue 1 for a transfer that could be worth 11 million euros plus variables up to 15. A buy-back option for the player in the first three years of his contract is under discussion.

True that. Rennes sell well so if he goes he is gone.

Best to structure it like the Chadi deal without the fuck up.

Creative loan can work. Loan for 5m year. Automatically signs if loaned for 3 years in succession. Barcelona have option to refuse the signing for X amount.

Just an example.

Read reports Rennes are close to agreeing with Barca for him. Which means no buy back clause. That's best for the lad.

I bet Barca will need his kind of profile in a year or two.

Maybe @khaled_a_d was right and Fall was the real one all this time.

Good opportunity for him.
Warped reasoning....

Champions league clubs would have be falling over themselves for Mbacke now if that were true. +He is older. There is a reason only Barca B team in the 3rd division was his best choice....

The list of clubs interested in you is a truer sign of your value in football, than some obfuscated personal opinions.

If slow error machines like Garcia and Inigo stays, while Faye gets sold with the crazy ass risky football Flick wants to play, he's really uber daft. He needs players like Faye like nothing else. He may not be great either, but at least he can keep up with attackers, when on equal footing.

Christensen, Araujo and Cubarsi are all ahead of all those CB. Kounde is also ahead, if Cancelo comes, as Kounde will be an alternative for CB during injuries with Cancelo being his sub (or Fort).

Faye is a young CB who is probably ambitious, what makes you think he will accept staying as 4th CB when he can go and be a starter somewhere else?

Eric OTOH has 4 or 5 years of 1st team football and he knows his level. If he wants to fight for a 4th CB spot, while Faye want to fight for his career somewhere else.

Also, no one knows what the market for Eric. Girona didn't want him back so far, so it might not be as good as assumed.

Just want to add that amidst the sarcasm, there may be a difference between buyout clause and buyback clause.

So thats the spin the club will give for sale and if no buyback can be inserted.

The first paragraph already mentions much needed funds provided by the sale.
