Salah was his team best player in 2022 final, if it wasn't for Courtouis heroic he would have ended the game as MOTM and CL winner for 2nd time.
People really underrated his performance that game, especially in 2nd half

imo Mane was best player even though he was a lot weaker in second half, salah overall was ok/good but i expected more the Salah of 2018 final was unplayable

Salah has created 4 chances for himself and finished them great, his product was far more than Mane who was only more energetic in 1st half.
And Salah was playing injured that final btw, wasn't 100% fit and missed games with Egypt due to it

They are all renewed before Salah with 1-2 exceptions (Firmino)
So they can't ask for similar wages until '26 or '27 when their contracts are up, and by then most of the core will need rebuilding

It's an exception made only for 1 player for 3yr (very short) contract.

Funny that you came up with this collapse narrative to make Bayern's ridiculous wage policy (handing 20m gross or more contracts to done players like Muller or Neuer) sound a good way to go...

Just another indicator that it's hard to lowball players once the team is successful/starts winning.

tbf 20M-24M gross annually isn't that bad tbh, at least not Barca bad. And he is actually very marketable player too.
The main problem in the negotiations was about image rights btw, if Salah got it as he wants then Liverpool had to pay a lot to keep him, if they got what they want then it is a fair deal for his market value.
