One has to wonder how many games Bellerin would have had to play at Barca to have as many impressive highlights as Semedo has had so far in just 5 games.

He's pretty basic and you won't really find a lot of impressive highlights with Bellerin if he was here.

He's a different RB to Semedo. Semedo the way he plays for us and his days at Benfica remind me of Alves and Abidal in terms of style, Bellerin's style reminds me of a more limited version of Kyle Walker and a Limited RB version of Alba.

Bellerin isn't really good in possession and it really stood out during the U-21 Euro tourney this summer, as he looked like a weak link with the ball and without it. He's an RB who's built perfectly for the PL, he's fast and he works decently when there's space to run into.

Other than being Catalan and a former La Masia player, I never understood why we were focused on him when he doesn't fit our style we need out of a RB. sure he's young but I just couldn't see it working well here.

raki will still maintain his stance on Semedo as an overrated player from the putrid portuguese league.

As it stands right now, of course not. Glad he did not fail like others did. I hope he gets even better.

Another bullet dodged other than Bellerin was Cancelo. Talented going forward but he is woeful at defending, arguably as bad as Vidal is. at one point it seemed like he was a serious option during the summer window along with Bellerin over Semedo but due to his poor season he was shuffled down the list.

Inter signed him on loan with an option to buy set at 35 Million I believe and he's currently injured until mid-late october with a knee injury.

He would quickly be nicknamed "Joao Cancerlo."

This guy is fucking SLICK. Defensively, he seems to have a higher potential than Dani (at least in terms of consistency). Attacking wise, I hope he can be just as good. He's also probably faster...

i agree that he has higher defensive ceiling than alves...but peak alves was an absolute monster in pace and attack.
