Thats because Messi starts his dribbles in front of the box, while Neymar is basically right next to the touchline
True enough. It's also harder to dribble closer to the box & center.

Thats why he attempts less dribbles
Sure but so what ?
Fans of the club rooting for their own players would be kinda crazy if you read this topic. Ideal outcome for some would be a win in every game but Ney (and MAtS) playing awful just to get you off.
You can't compare the end product of a player who runs less than 8 km, through the middle, to a player who has to run 2km+ more, make interceptions, chase fullbacks etc and is obliged to stay on the wing.
If you look at it, the system is made for Messi to shine. Why did Henry and Sanchez have worse stats here?
Messi would be the first one to dismiss the idea of replacing Neymar with someone else. Messi knows if Neymar leaves he will have to run much more to bring the ball up the field. If you think about it Neymar does a lot of dirty work for him.
About dribbles, we should team up two best dribblers in Europe.
Success is guaranteed.
We will have 90 mins of insane dribbles on both wings with zero end product.
Messi is done.
It is time for a lethal NST trio.

Real will have goals and CLs
We will have the best dribblers in the world
We all know very well, including you yourself, that if neymar had superior goalscoring stats and not so great dribbling stats, you would be somehow painting the picture and arguing how goals aren't a big deal and how he sucks at dribbling etc.
Stats mean shit, you should know that as a barca fan, the only thing that matters is how every pieces are put together to achieve perfect harmony. That's the only way to produce beautiful and efficient gameplay. That's the barca way. The way that allowed us to rule the football world for a decade.
Neymar is the personification of everything wrong about the MSN approach, which is excessive individualism.
Like I said he is never in the tempo, it's like he is playing the game on his own. That doesnt mean I'm putting him on the selling list, he is too much talended for that. He must get better in some key aspects of the game.
He got the skills now he needs to develop his football IQ.
