Neymar Jr. - v5

This is what really throws me off all the time.

Go and quote his post and argue him to death.

Why do you bring up this argument against other people who had nothing to do with that comment, or said anything like that?

It makes no sense.

I don't feel like arguing that point, I'm not even arguing against it. You're the ones quoting me and bitching about BBZ's Neyhate.

I was primarily posting just to point out that Potroh indeed is not a Barca fan by his own admission and gave a few words giving my opinion on the Neymar situation.

There's no denying BBZ has a possibly unhealthy dislike of Neymar and he is very much prone to stretching out bad performances to suit his agenda, but he's just one side of the coin, the other side is the one which suggests we are nothing without Neymar. Someone a few pages ago implied our attack would actually be useless without Neymar because we'd "Only" have "Uncle" Messi and Suarez. Like really, give me a break.

Barca are not nothing without any player in reality. Would be at poorest without Messi of all them but still not nothing.

Neymar is the second best player in the team and probably has been again this season.

Has had some frustrating games and some unreal games only Messi can match.

The idea of him being inconsistent is over blown anyway. He is good much more often than a lot make out.

He said he was not really a Barca fan because he started watching us because of El Tridente. Who are we to deny that he is a fan now, if he says he is. Why do you feel the need to fish out old posts of his to say that he isn't a Barca fan.

Potroh might not be a Barca fan, but I'm not sure how wishing for a player to fail, which obviously not only affects him, but his team too, is the definition of a lifelong Barca fan?

BBZ is in no position to call out anyone else when he's going OTT like that.

BBZ is letting his dislike for Neymar get the better of him. It's such a crazy obsession that he doesn't even realize he's indirectly hoping for his team to fail just so he can say: I told you so, I was right!

Bitching against Neymar's inconsistency is not very productive when you're offering no solution yourself. Replace him with a player half the talent who is consistent at least. Okay, let's do that.

Does it solve our problems? It's a very simple question.

Last time we had a player like that in Pedro, you were among the people bitching against his performances.

That's a straw man. They never said that our attack would be nothing without Neymar, only that Neymar is who we'd have left of the trio in a few years when Messi and Suarez are too old to lead the line.

Not to mention that the guy never actually said that.

I can only assume you just weren't reading or something. Luckily, the posts aren't that far back and were relatively easy to dig up.

Sure, let's trade him in for Verratti.

That way we can go from being a team with all attack and no midfield to all midfield and no attack. The transformation will be complete.

Yeah because uncles Messi and Suarez are gonna carry the attack for years to come.

Oh wait...

He directly says we would go from having no midfield to "No attack" and then spits that disrespectful garbage about Messi and Suarez, but yeah, I'm using a strawman and am arguing things that were "Never said".

Did you read El Guaje's second post right after that? Obviously not.

He clarifies that what he meant is that by selling Neymar, we stand to handicap our future attack by sacrificing the youngest our forwards.

I think the last bit is in relation to letting the youngest of MSN go even if said in overly sarcastic way.

Why focus or bring that up when other people are not arguing that though? It happens every time.

I do think he is inconsistent, but as far as selling him is concerned I would only trade him for Verrati, as imo Verrati would make the team better than Neymar does. It'd be a shame if we lost fans like Potroh though.

Under a new manager and system he could do well. I'm willing to give him that chance but to deny his inconsistency or overhype him as the crutch we lean on as many do is overblowing his good performances in much the way BBZ downplays him. Like I said, two sides of the same coin.

BBZ and tries to goad people into going off the argument so he can bash Neymar.

Example being bringing up Ronaldinho and Ney having poorer stats and 'actual results'.

Apart from it being a lie it is just designed to make this a Ney v Ronaldinho debate which no else is even remotely saying it should be.

Totally disagree that Veratti would make the team better.

What would make the team better is keeping MSN and improving the midfield.

Again I think you massively overplaying the inconsistent thing and Neymar is one of the ones with least to prove in this team. Or one of areas that needs addressed.

Guy put a fire on this thread again and disappeared.

I think he's laughing at us for taking his bait every time........
