Neymar Jr. - v5

We will be fine in the long run. But short-term is something else...

We should be probably prepared to take a hit this upcoming season because this is so unexpected and clearly finding any sort of solution in the remaining 6 weeks of this transfer window will be extremely difficult and unlikely to happen.

If he leaves, I hope we draw PSG in the CL and kick them out in a CL winning run.

Taking a hit short-term will be a bitter pill to swallow. New coach, Messi looks hungry and ready and a chance to get better, and then this happens. Yet there are people who want to shower Neymar with flowers if he leaves. Not sure if they're Neymar fans or support the club itself.

The only way he's staying is if PSG don't manage to put together the money or if he goes against his father like he did when he joined Barca in the first place, but this time I remain less optimistic.

I would have been more confident in the market if he had left much sooner this summer. What I'm worried about the most is we won't have enough time to get a real quality player to replace Ney with. It reminds me of last season where we lost Alves, and we had to use a band aid at RB for the entire season and it hurt us.

Even if it happened tomorrow it is unlikely Barca get two top class players in for 220m.

I think you would be looking at a poorer player than Neymar for around 120-150m and no top class centre mid is available or coming for what is left.

It says

1. Neymar leaving is a feasible now with PSG being able to pay the buyout

2. Barca want to convince Neymar, but he's 'dazzled' by PSG's economic offer and project

3. There are those Brazilians players there at PSG where he would feel at home I guess

Barca's leadership know that Neymar leaving is real and a serious option. Not a rumour.

If he leaves after all the trouble he put us through for signing him, I hope his career and time at PSG end up a bust.

Weird timing for that message and photo of his dad he just posted on IG. This looks done for us. Fuck. Can't afford another bad season.

Some serious Catalan media sources reporting it now too. It looks like they're all conceding to what may be the shock of the summer.

Wow. I was away from football news for a couple of days, I come back and holy hell what the shit?!

I think it's absolutely impossible that any club pay 220m downpayment as a release clause, tens of millions more to his money grabbing whore of a father and entourage, hundreds of millions in salary over the next few years..it's just not possible.

Surely, there can't be so much smoke without a fire, and it's quite easy for Neymar to come out and rubbish this..if ANY of these stories are true, about him pressuring the board into making his bumchum Barca players, or anything of that sort, I want him out of here, even if he wants to stay. Don't want that kind of poison at the club.

However, I cannot see him going this year, but fully expect him to leave next season. I had predicted 2018 to be the year he stays till to a friend of mine, and I fully see that coming to fruition. I just wish Farto and Co had the foresight of this random dude on the internet, and start working on getting some BIG names next season, because boys and girls, we will be flush with Neymoney.

Honestly I think most people here already knew that Neymar wasn't going to stay here long term.

Question now is how long will Neymar and his father stick with PSG? it won't be that easy there to get away from as there's no release clause in France.

Although I never thought he would consider PSG. I would always assume he would end up at Manchester United or another Big EPL team.

He's potentially leaving at the worst possible time out of the blue.

That's the problem here.

I wonder how BBZ8800 feels about this.

He correctly predicted that Neymar would leave quite soon
