Neymar Jr. - v5

Even IF it could be reversed nobody wants him back.
Yeah, but it can't be reversed anyways as long as PSG paid.

UEFA only judges matters relatively to the EU cups. They can't refuse transfers from clubs to clubs.

So unless PSG paid with fake money, there's no way it can be reversed. And also, listening to Bartomeu yesterday, Barca already got the money, and are ready to spend it in signings, and assets.

Apparently Barca is trying to get time by refusing the transfer in the spanish federation. They want to give time to UEFA, to refuse the transfer. Who the fuck add a clause on the Neymar's contract ?

Shame on Barto. How many players from Ligue 1 joined Barca without problem ? This is shameful and smell rage and only rage. it's like when a girl refuse you, and choose another one, and you want to punish the other one.

There's a 15 days delay for barca to send whatever documentation needed for Neymar to debut for PSG. It will be sent on the last day obviously, does it really make you mad ? lol

MD is now reporting that Barca has nothing to do with it. According to them, it's La Liga (Tebas) that is trolling PSG.

So please Lutece, don't bash Barca anymore.

I've read la liga can't send those documents without barca approval. Whether it's Tebas or Barto pulling the strings, won't make me like them one bit more.

Wouldn't foreclose a tit-for-tat response as Neymar let us in the dark for a few weeks and took all the attention of the US-tour.
And? Who cares really. Lutece is complaining while Barca is the one losing one of its pillars.

Makes Barca look petty? And? So many people hate Barca anyways so what does it change.

Somebody said above that legally Barca/La Liga have 15 days, so yeah, no problem waiting 14 days to send the thing.

PSG sure got themselves, What appears to be a real down to earth hard worker, With an amazing work ethics.
Thank god we cashed in on him, PSG will be lucky getting 2 competent years out of him, He'll be Ronaldinho 2.0, That fight with Unzue a few months back, Now makes sense.

On behalf of all FCB fans worldwide, Thank you PSG for that 220m :neymar:

I agree that Neymar's lifestyle and party attitude was a concern as long as he played for us. It will be interesting to see how he performs a few years down the line when approaching 30 years old, and whether or not he burnt out through a lavish lifestyle of partying and letting fame and money go to his head, or if he managed to keep focused enough to remain sharp and improve on the pitch. Could well be that he manages it, but as of right now I definitely prefer the 220m we got from his sale when he still was at his most marketable. Just hope that this incompetent board can spend it wisely.

I get what you're saying but I think the board will prefer to pay 10-20M more (or include that money as bonuses) and still use installments than just pay all money upfront. We probably won't have 222M in cash to spend again in the near future so it would be dangerous to do that now because clubs would take notice and would demand as much money upfront again in future transfers but then we won't have that money.

Using your Mbappe's example I think they (board) would rather pay 150M+bonuses in 3-4 years instalments than pay 130M upfront. Of course if we could get that price down to 70-80M if we'd pay at once then they would do that but there is no way Monaco would accept to drop price that much just to get more money upfront (they don't need money that much after all players they've already sold). If we can lower total fee for "just" 10-20M then I think the board will prefer to stick with how big transfers are usually paid, so with instalments but it's possible our first instalment would be 60-70M instead of 40-50M.

That's also what I think Bartomeu meant when he said we won't use whole Neymar's money just to buy players. It doesn't mean we won't spend (more than) 222M in total fees for new players but using instalments in those transfers it's possible we'll "only" pay 150-170M (or maybe even less) upfront so we could use 20-30M of Neymar's cash to start renovation of Camp Nou and save the rest for next years.

I don't think we'll get Mbappe so I'll use Coutinho and Dembele who are our primary targets now alongside Inigo Martinez who I believe is already a done deal though we'll probably try to negotiate with Sociedad so they'll accept his transfer (so in the end we'll maybe pay 35M instead of 32M if we succeed with that but we'll keep good relationship with them) and we won't have to pay taxes as if he'd use his buy out clause.

Let's say we'll pay:

120M for Coutinho: 70M upfront, 20M in 2018 and 30M in 2019
110M for Dembele: 60M upfront, 30M in 2018 and 20M in 2019
32M for Inigo: all upfront as we'll have to pay his clause

So in total we'd pay 262M, but only 162M from that would be paid this summer.

Of course those numbers are just example and I have no idea if Liverpool and/or Dortmund will sell under those terms if they will sell at all.

All good and fair points. Can't really disagree. It makes sense to use installments even if paying more in the end. I'm sure all our transfers will conclude in that way.

My point was, if you see teams adamant in selling their players, in this case Liverpool and Dortmund, or even demanding unreasonable money, then it makes sense to make contingency plans in case they don't budge. It doesn't hurt to inquire about players from other teams. In my example, Mbappe, I think is one of the most suitable replacements for Neymar as he played just last week as a left forward. Doesn't mean we'll buy him. Just that we should talk with Monaco to see what their plans are. Also ask for permission to speak with him and see where he stands if we'd make and offer for him. If he'd be willing to come or not. To me it looks like Monaco is more willing to negotiate than the other 2. Mbappe also looks like he'd move this window if a serious offer comes. . Mbappe is just one case though. Could be other players as well.

Furthermore, another benefit of inquiring about other players is that it might put some pressure on the players to demand an exit from their clubs if they see that we have other targets besides them. In the end we may end with no one if we put all our eggs in one or two baskets(Coutinho and Dembele). Hell we could end with only Paulinho and Inigo. That's would be awful.

We'll see how it ends but I really have doubts they can finalize these 2 transfers.

People questioning his character now that he's left PSG isn't really the case at all.

It's always been like that. the old thread before it was nuked, was full of us being worried/bitching about his lifestyle off the field and how it affected his performances.

Interesting that Neymar suddenly has character issues.
Sorry to break it to you, But everyone who've been keeping a close eye on neymar knew this about him, His love for parties, And missing matches for his sister birthday..etc

Yet while we knew this about him, We kinda ignored it, Since we already bought neymar at a young age, We extracted 4 great years from him, And we still know he has a couple of top seasons in him, Before going full R10.

But here comes PSG, To a player already having a questionable lifestyle, And decide to DROWN him in money, And to make it worse, They pay us 220m.
So no, This is nothing new about neymar, The differnece is, You'll be the one experiencing it's full impact, Not us.
But you seem to be an expert in keeping yourself in denial

And by the way since you seem to adore news articles, Here is one for you enjoy.
