Neymar Jr. - v5

So, now we are in a denial-phase called: "It's not Neymar's fault. It's Lucho and the system."

No one said that. Stop making up things so you can hold your narrative.

What about starting to being reasonable and let your agenda aside for a while?

That's ALL we (the so-called "Neymar fans") want.

If you read my previous posts in this thread I mostly criticised Neymar's finishing for which even his biggest fans will admit is really poor this season. I was praising his defensive work recently and about lost balls that make some people so upset I've also accepted a long time ago that he'll lose about 10 of them every game (even when he's playing good) because that's just his playing style and I don't even bother about that anymore. If that makes me Neymar's hater then I'm but I've never consider myself as one. I've criticised all players that have worn Barça's shirt over the 20 years I follow them, including our legends like Puyol, Xavi and Messi when they had a bad game, because I believe it's my right as a fan to do that (something that some people here have a hard time to understand and accept when it comes to fan favourites but they have no problem to (over)criticise other players and make them culprits for everything bad that's happening to us all the time) but I've never stopped to love, respect and support them. On the other hand I never really hate (or better said dislike, because hate is too strong word) any of Barça players except for those we bought from Arsenal for obvious reasons but I've also gave them a fair chance to maybe convince me. I've also defended and had patience with most of our new players (and coaches) for a longer time than most fans because I've learned you can't go far in life with rush decisions so sometimes it's better to be patient than to change a coach and half of the team every 6 months.

Barca fans are used to different kind of football. Keeping the ball, short passes, playing for the team. Neymar is not in that mould so that's probably another reason why he rubs some of us the wrong way. And then there's his attitude.

One can also go into how he's not that into Barca as he is more a Messi fan, corruption and price of his transfer, what he delivers for his wages, etc..

Interesting, Ronaldinho says that he prefers Ronaldinho-Etoo-Messi trio to MSN:

I agree with him.
Since he was way better than Neymar, Etoo and Suarez are 50:50 (Etoo was insane before Pep), and Messi is Messi.
REM > MSN

On the other hand, he also says that Neymar is ready to be one of the best in the world.

OK, Ronnie at least had 50% of this interview right

IMO -> Etoo was insane my dear friend but Suarez is Great! Like iniesta and Xavi for example! iniesta was very very good and Xavi was great.

Eto'o was better than Suarez. Both Ronnie and Eto'o were better than Neymar and Suarez. Suarez can still top Eto'o if he continues to score for 3-4 seasons and wins us trophies, but I feel that Eto'o was way more clinical and not so dependent on service.

they teared real Madrid a new one in their 3-0 Bernabeu win ( 2005) / How the game ended 3-0 and not 7-0 is still a mystery to me. Cassillas is the reason most proabably

2 - 1 at Stamford Bridge was REM's most important job for us and 3 - 0 at Bernabeu and 6 - 0 at Vicente Calderon were just amazing!

that 2-1 at the Stamford was all messi's .. even tho ronaldinho cause the og started the attack, eto'o scored, but messi was ON their ass, the ***** mourinho drowned the pitch with mud resulting in a bad match of football. he was scared shitless of R M O

You forgot the being BFF with The Bieb hehe

about the corruption and all, you should be blaming his dad and the other geezers who set it up! As for the wages thing, the board should take the rap for signing stupid contracts, why blame neymar? If you're a player and you're offered a super deal, you're not going to negotiate it downwards c'mon!
Even as a fan, I've no problem recognizing he hasn't lived to up to the hype but bear in mind, he was never responsible for it. He plays alpha on the pitch but off it, he's the humblest, coolest and friendliest dude!

and yeah he's the :messi: fan numero uno I'd be on Cloud 9 as well if I was a top player and I could be Leo's wing-man :super2:

Don't really get the Messi fan vs Barca fan thing. To for the sake of illustration and just hypothetically, if Leo left to play for some other team, pretty sure that you and nearly every living Barca fan would watch his matches and root for his new team. And if he were to play against Barca, of course we'd want Barca to win by let's say 1 or 2 goals but we wouldn't want his team to be humiliated and we'd also like to see Leo score a few and do his magic and see him being happy on the pitch :) Ditto with Jordan! many of his fans even started watching baseball for that one year. We're not even talking teams anymore, different sports altogether lol Doesn't mean they weren't real Bulls fans if you catch my drift.

You just get attached to players, impossible not to.
