Nasser also hasn't come out with his usual 1000% staying quotes this time

I think that's because PSG would actually sell him. But they most likely won't just hand him over for 150M or a swap deal for our deadweight aka what Barca wants so i don't think it'll happen.

I hate the way the media still keeps repeating that he "will take a huge wage-drop", when the same media reports would be exactly the same as before he betrayed us.

It would be a huge financial and moral scandal to give him the same wages as before - he should make 15M at max + pay half of his transfer-fee, to prove that he wants back. Else he can very much stay in the mess of a club he very much chose himself.

This. Communication of PSG shows they would sell if the right offer comes.

How would you feel about a potential Barto bait & switch? He already said no Neymar publicly, but if Ney does indeed come then he basically trolled everyone.

What was he supposed to say? That the club is interested in Neymar publicly? That would do more harm than good. Similarly the comments about Dembélé. No sane negotiator would for instance publicly say that Dembélé is for sale and that we don't count on him.

It is painfully obvious that the club is interested in resigning Neymar, that he wants back and that PSG is willing to sell him for the right price and if the right deal is reached. Case in point Nasser's "first of a kind" public comments weeks ago directed at Neymar mostly. Add to that the arrival of Leonardo. 1 month of virtually EVERY single local and non-local (French, Brazilian) media writing the exact same things.

Local media keeps claiming that he wants back desperately.

Now rumors of him going back to BCN this very week to look for a house to buy and in order to accelerate his signing with us. A deal (contract) between the club and Neymar has also been reached apparently. Probably includes him annulling his demand for that "loyalty bonus", lowering his wage from his current one (a certainty as we won't pay him as much as PSG has been doing) and most likely a public apology for him leaving 2 years ago and in the fashion he left.

Can't get my head around how the board and Valverde (who has no or close to no say most likely) plans to fit Neymar, Griezmann, Messi and Suárez into the same team if we end up buying Neymar which I consider as very realistic (wrote that weeks ago already) option despite Bartomeu's public comments.

For me that was nothing more than a show. Similarly with his comments about de Ligt that were made (most likely) to save face or to pretend that we are still in the race. Later for the local pamphlets to write their propaganda about de Ligt not being interested and preferring money over us. They already made such a campaign when it became obvious that he would join Juve. All to make room for their Neymar darling. They did the same with the poster boy De Jong when it looked certain that he would sign for PSG.

I hope that I will be proven wrong but I don't think so.

I wonder how NeyNey feels that his team won without his help

Imagine the fact Ney probably would have hampered the playing style of this Brasil:lol: big fan of Ney but he does over dribble.

I was looking back at the gui7herme compa videos of his time 2013-2017. He held on to the ball way to long i. Most instances

Neymar left Barca.
Barca wins 2 La ligas.
They sucked in terms of results in the last 18 Months with Neymar.

Neymar gets injured for Brasil.
Brasil reaches a final and wins it for the first time since he is playing for an NT team.

Neymar is an eye-pleasing player.
With him in a team, on the eye test, you always have a feeling that he is irreplaceable and the best player.

In reality, and in terms of results and trophies, once when you remove Neymar from a team, a team plays exactly the same (results wise) with or without him.

I remember back in 2016/17 season, I was posting some stats with and without Neymar in a team.

Without Neymar in that season, we had something like 9 wins out of 10 matches.
With Neymar, we couldn't get 3 wins in a row for the whole season and we had something like 50-60% of wins.

People said: you are an idiot.

In a summer of 2017, he left a team and Barca almost had an invicible season without him in a team.

My opinion is still: except in 2015 and Psg 6:1, for 90% of his career, he is a player who is pleasing and nice to watch on the eye test.
In terms of results and changing games: meh. Extremely overrated player regarding results and an impact in key KO matches.

I don't care about stats For the past two, season we have been an embarrassment in the champions league. I would happily sell both dembele and coutinho if it means neymar will come back

Club reaction to Neymar Jr.'s absence in training

On Monday, July 8, Neymar da Silva Santos Junior was summoned to resume the activities of the Paris Saint-Germain professional group.
Paris Saint-Germain found that the player Neymar Jr. had not arrived at the agreed time and place without prior authorization from the Club.
Paris Saint-Germain deplores this situation and will take the appropriate measures resulting from it.

He actually decided not to show up for training. Now things get interesting. Pretty amusing we have two players that want to join us refusing to train with their current clubs at the same time.
