He played only 25 games. Imo he's currently better than Messi due to his workrate and tenacity, looks to impose himself constantly whereas Messi fades away if things don't go his way.

Neymar was out partying and fuking hookers in 17-18 and 18-19. Now he started to give a shit because he had plenty of rest and it's a one game tournament. Guaranteed he will disappear again next season. Dude can't stay focused for a long time like CR7 and Messi. That in itself is a huge accomplishment and not to be underestimated.

Legacy wise obviously not, but both Messi and CR are old men now that have physically declined a lot. It's natural.
Neymar can do what Messi and CR are unable to do now and that is running, moving off the ball and pressing like crazy when he's at the top of his game.
