2022 is a legacy year for him, no excuses in UCL with the superteam PSG is building and has to redeem himself with Brazil in the WC.

Well, they are favourites to win next year, but considering the fact that they are in pot 2 like us, so there is no chance we end up in the same group.
Point is, mbappe cant boost his performances against us, so there is a chance they can crash out of cl group stage

brazil team is shit in attack. don't see them winning it

however he has to win the CL imo. this is most definitely his best chance

So lean and agile. And a good finisher too, in those days. Leaving Barca was his biggest mistake.

Ney in 14/15 had excellent finishing. 1vs1 against GK was to 90% a goal but somehow his finishing skills declined after that season. In terms of dribbling he already showed his potential but in 15/16 he peaked in that aspect. In 16/17 he started to make stupid decisions sometimes and dribbled way to much but he was our best player in the cl, unstoppable mentality against PSG and also at home against juve it felt like he was the only player who believed in a comeback, had 13 dribbles against the best defence in the world. He was still worldclass in 17/18, destroyed bayern and Real madrid defence (though PSG lost) but i think the injury which he got before the return leg against real had weaken him. In 18/19 he was worldclass against liverpool and neapel but i saw he was a bit slower. The injury which he got that season had completely destroyed him i think as he was a lot worse in 19/20 - his dribbling / pace / shooting have reached a very low level (compared to peak Ney) but his passing was still worldclass. Against argentinia i saw in the second half flashbacks of the old Ney but overall he is more a playmaker these days and need a fast striker/winger who he can feed with passes. His freekick ability has also declined.

Talent wise he should have reached the level of Messi/Cristiano but destroyed a bit his career with the move to PSG. Makes me still sad as im sure we would have won the cl in 17/18 and/or in 18/19 with Neymar. The move was a lose-lose situation for both.

Well, that's what being a slave to the money brings to you. Neymar knows that his decision to leave Barca was a bad decision. Too late now, let him rot at QSG, they'll never win the CL, even with one hundred new signings.

Excluding really older players I haven't seen..

1. Ronaldo
2. Ronaldinho
3. Dani Alves
4. Rivaldo
5. Romario
6. Robero Carlos
7. Kaka
8. Cafu
9. Neymar

Something like that.

How high would you guys rank him when taking about the great Brazilian players? Better than say Rivaldo?

Hard to tell.
Rivaldo played at a bad Barca, when big teams weren't as rich as today and when they didn't statpad wins, trophies and club&individual stats.
But he played at a better Brazil and had two WC finals in 1998 and 2002 and won Ballon D Or.

From 90s till today:
Tier 1: Ronaldo9, Ronaldinho
Tier 2: Rivaldo, Neymar
Tier 3: Romario, Kaka, Cafu, Roberto Carlos, Dani Alves, Adriano
