He would be the best no10 and most creative player.

Cant have him out wide though.

Maybe they can try to say to PSG to leave the Dembele fee.. well at least the Barca 25m.. PSG give him 25m and Barca give him Dembeles wage across next couple seasons.

More or less swap the two.

Inigo Martinez on over 9m gross is a bigger waste of cap space than paying a % of Neymar wages.

Until Christensen and Araujo get injured again, both being known as injury prone, and you have to rely on Garcia to run the defense.

No thanks, I still remember Lautaro folding him like a lawn chair at the 2nd Inter goal.

So great idea to have an 'injury prone' player as back up for two 'injury prone' players then....

Top logic.

Have to take a risk when you can't sign top players. What can I say, I'd wish to spend 200m every summer like your darling English teams.

Top players like Pique and Garcia having to play a key game vs CL eventual finalist.

Irrelevant point...no one said they are 'top players'... you made out Barca cant sign 'top players' at CB as if need to. Barca have top CBs and no 'top' player is arriving to be a back up.

Xavi picking those two while FDJ, Balde even Alba was on the bench was a disaster.

Ah yes the 'eventual finalists' who Barca have better squad than and spent hundreds of millions more than... see not impossible.

Point is Xavi, for good reason, whants to have a more experienced CB instead of Garcia, if our starting CB will get injured at the wrong time, which they have shown they frequently do.

Indeed Xavi wants more experience at CB and better options... quite rightly.

Poor point to make he cant sign top players there as 'has to find bargains' and even poorer point about injury prone players at CB if just signed another one..

No top CB is moving to Barca to be back up anyway and he has been left one of top CBs in world to work with.

Some folk used to blame the coaches and training for all the injuries....never a peep about that for Xavi though.

One of many mental gymnastic rules that get applied for coaches that are liked.

Well it's about the upper limit both can offer.

Disclaimer, would have gone for an effective system player like Kamada on a free.

In regards to Inigo. Big cap space, didn't pass the medical, hasn't trained and the club don't know when he will be back because of his injury type. That's Gabi Milito territory.

By comparison Roma got Ndicka for justbl over 5m gross. Even with their lower tax for foreigners, we could have handsomely offered more and still be left paying a few million less than what's on the table for Inigo.

Ndicka is not going to go at a team to be a 3-4th option. Why would he do that?

He had supposedly agreed a deal with Barca and was waiting.

Xavi chose Inigo.

Likes of Ndicka moving to Italy on modest wages could well fancy his chances at Barca to work way in and move on if cant.

Could be a possibility, that Xavi didn't want an unexperienced guy having to step up in some big game out of the blue. Like it's gonna be the case with Inigo most likely.

Xavi is clearly satisfied with our starting CB pair, and probably want someone with experience in case of some injury problem at the wrong time.
