Delusional. To say they are better they need to go at it in CL and keep clean sheets vs the best teams in Europe in high pressure games. Valid for Stegen too, since you're so fond of him.

Real conceded more goals than any other team in KO stages that had won the CL and GK was MOTM in final.

Delusional to think they are better than Araujo and Christensen due to a CL run like that more than a seaon ago.

Keep at it though. Suits you.

Almost like you were told at start of this season you over rated their defence... and look what happened in league an CL.

Wrong as usual.

Reals starting CBs are not better than Barcas.

Only some deluded Real gusher would claim that.

What criteria? I said he's a good player. Since when is that an insult? If you want to claim he's some elite CB then the joke's on you.

Christensen is good. One of our best defenders along with Araujo. But our current status is not one of the best teams in Europe. It all fits rather well in the big picture.

Well I don't know where you get the idea where these guys are bench material based off of their past season. Or that they did not show they were top CBs in Europe. Based off of your assessment, we went out of Europe because they guys were not playing.

So we can't say they are not some of the best in Europe because they did not show it in Europe, but then that they didn't show it in Europe because they were injured in the games that led us to get knocked out.

It's a catch-22.

And if we are not counting their 22/23 seasons does that mean we are rating everyone of what they done in previous seasons.

Does that mean Kounde is starter material and our only elite defender since we are now ignoring 22/23 and looking at 21/22 and prior.

Or how about Laporte > Stones since we are not counting last seasons performances. Or that Koulibaly is one of the world class defenders, let's ignore his year at Chelsea and being shipped off to Arabia.

Anyways, let's move this back to Neymar. Moving on...

I still see no way for this transfer to materialize.

Where would he even fit into our lineup?
The delusion is real! As much as you want to be loyal to Barca and an enforcer of loyalty, try to be realistic. There are only 3 players at the top of the world class creators pyramid in the world today 1,Messi 2, Neymar/De Bruyne 3, De Bruyne/Neymar. Nobody in our current roster comes close

Depends on how Xavi wants to play or if Xavi would be prepared to change some things to fit him in.

But on last seasons formation he walks into the side in Gavis role and is a huge upgrade.

Agree with what Neymar brings in terms of creativity and pure excitement. He is 31 and very injury prone at this point though. Barca have no money and can’t even register players. I just don’t see how we can afford/get a deal done.

He would push Pedri to RAM which is whatever I guess.

Top players like Pique and Garcia having to play a key game vs CL eventual finalist.
The 'CL eventual finalists' got there by playing 33 year old Darmian at CB.

The levels aren't as different as you always seem to think. Other teams have holes and injury issues as well, even Premier League ones.

That's not what their defense does... Their defense conceded heaps almost every tie in the CL winning campaign and were saved from conceding more only by Courtois. Their defensive line was one of the worst in the tournament.

It again showed how poor it is last year getting run through like a sieve the first tie. against a top team..they haven't proved shit and the only thing they have proved is actually how bad they are compared to the attack.

This guy leaving started our decline. If he wants to come back, it better be for fucking free and for less than 5m a year before taxes.

Oh yes, Barca fan celebrating 2nd year in a row CL exit ridiculing how shit a CL winning defense is. Sense the irony much?

It's very simple. To speak big, you need to act big. When we act big in CL, then we can talk about us being better than Madrid. Can't get more simple than that. Consistency in La Liga, beating Bilbao, Celta, Sociedad, it's excellent.

CL performances in the knockout phase, hell, even getting there again, it's a whole new level.
