Unusally for me I do think that buying Neymar this season would not be a bad idea. Yes he may be a flop, but he also may not be and the fact that we have Messi will keep his reported ego in check and he could develop. New players normally take a season to adjust and with Villa coming back from injury they could share the load this year and then use Neymar more nxt season and cash in on Villa as he goes past 30.

Neymar is just going to get more and more expensive anyway. We can't stop that from happening anymore.

Only massive downside is that we potentially slow down the development of our own youngsters.

I believe we should sign him asap if it is inevitable indeed... coz he obviously would need time to settle in. And him arriving here when Villa is still around would reduce the risk factor.

Moreover, I don't really think the fee would be as high as 60M. I'm guessing it would be some where between 35-40M

I agree with you that Neymar has been unfairly criticized a lot of times. But on the other hand you are doing the exact opposite by reacting to anything which isn't praise to Neymar, even if it is justified and constructive.

Nothing. You can discuss without having to call anyone anything. Say you disagree because of this and that. You can also say you think they're wrong, but don't label people "hater" for just disagreeing on something.

You can't forget a lot of people don't see the neymar transfer kindly because of his transfer fee, or his diving, or even his looks. Only time will make people like him, or not.

i didn't accuse him or point fingers, I just explained to him how he was coming across. especially after he first used the term 'fanboys'.
