Missed a penalty today. That's ok because I remember Messi recently missed one too. Neymar still has a higher penalty conversion rate

Seems like the hype has cooled down a bit since his disappointing Olympics. I really love how Neymar and Ganso have been bigged up by the YouTube scouts for so long and all of a sudden Oscar appears, outshines everyone and gets his move to Europe for big bucks. No one was talking about him prior to the Olympics.

I'm just saying it's been months since he last missed. Like 10 months or so. Messi missed like 3-4 months ago after his most recent miss. And those months were vacatioon months. So add his recent misses over Neymar's 10 month period and Neymar has a higher conversion rate. It isn't bad. It just means that Neymar takes the penalties and freekicks when he gets to Barcelona

You should get your facts straight. The "Youtube scouts" haven't hyped Ganso for a while now. No one has. Ever since his ACL injury, he hasn't been the same player and all the hype has cooled. As for Oscar outshining everybody, that's not what people in Brazil are saying. Neymar is still their most important and best player. And it's exactly because Oscar isn't as hyped as Neymar that he could move to Europe. A move for Neymar would require a ton of money and would have the CBF's (aka the most corrupt footballing organization on the planet) fingerprints all over it. Santos is holding out for a king's ransom. You think if they didn't offer to sell Neymar for Oscar's price tag, that there wouldn't be about a dozen clubs that were willing to pay it?

They're making it so that nothing BUT big clubs will sign him. People say Neymar will flop because he won't start out at a small club. News flash Neymar can't go to a small club because of his PRICE TAG. Santos made sure of that. Anyways it's inevitable most brazilians know all their players go to Europe anyway. With good reason too. A Santos experience Neymar at the world cup won't end well. any brazilian that thinks Neymar can be one of the worlds best in Brazil is in denial.

Well it's interesting how Santos was all dominant before they lost key players (Danilo, Alex Sandro, Elano) and others (especially Ganso) fell off - and now they are poor.

Neymar was their best player both before and after, but this is notable for all the revisionist history that he carried Santos to that Libertadores triumph. Santos had a stacked team, now they had a mediocre team - one of the few constants has been Neymar;

Yea you can talk about his antics, or his attitude all you want but it doesn't hide the fact that he is a special, special player. The first can be always be altered and changed, the latter cannot. He is bound to be great.

If you saw yesterday's game against Palmeiras it was a good one. Neymar scored two goals. One off a direct freekick and another outside the 18 yard line.

Freekick goal

Goal #2

Barca needs a freekick specialist right? Last one was Ronaldinho am I correct? Xavi and Messi are not freekick specialists
