Bartomeu: "There's a lot of talk, but Neymar is a Santos player until 2014. If he wants to move to Europe one day, we'll try to sign him."

This is from md, where also there's a piece saying the plan is to bring him next summer. Unless there's a major injury, when neymar could come in the winter. Better get used to it, I guess. I just fear the numbers of this transfer. But who knows, Rosell did get cesc for a reasonable fee, maybe he can do the same with neymar.

The only reason Rosell got Cesc for a reasonable price is so he can be as unreasonable as necessary to get his next Brazilian star.

How do we know if moving Ibra to CF with Messi behind wouldn't have worked out better? Just because you find something works it doesn't mean that you shouldn't change it and that you suddenly stop being innovative, that is just extreme arrogance and laziness and perpetuates the logical fallacy that if something isn't broken then don't fix it. You have to keep on adapting your style and game otherwise it will eventually go stale and teams will figure out a way to stop it. Let's be honest here teams have started figuring out this false nine thing, last season and so far this season we have been inconsistent and well below par for a lot of games only pulling the rabbit out of the hat in the last 20 minutes. False nine worked better when it was used as a trick in the sleeve move and out greatest surprise but now it's excessive.
Agree. Great post.

Always had the same oppinion on Neymar. It's basically buying a 40 million lottery ticket that could earn you double that but you could also lose all your money and the odds are 50/50. Now if Santos agreed to send him to us on loan with option to buy then that would be very different :p although that will never happen. They will mill him for all he's worth.
