The timing was better even a year ago if not earlier, Neymar's situation has been handled poorly....Moura & Oscar already look better professionals and made the jump with just enough time ahead of WC14...The pressure will be enormous for Neymar, by contrast, and as we already know, adjusting to Barcelona is no easy feat that can be accomplished in one season - even for seasoned pros (Henry, Cesc, Alexis, Ibrahimovic).

More concerned about what that pressure will do to his game were he to come this summer or the pressure it would put the club under to ensure his success that early...More than his decision making on the pitch, concerned that the circus will be a problem for the club...A big reason why he should've come sooner, IMO

There are too many examples of players that came through the academy that never got to grips with the decision making and passing required at Barca.

Likewise there are plenty of examples of players that have come in and adapted to it brilliantly.

Neither Delofeu or Tello have the passing ability or decision making of Neymar. I stand by that 100%

 Neymar's passing may be better than Deulo's but if you compare them by age, Deulofeu is a FAR better passer at his age than Neymar was at 19. As for Tello, he fits in really well at tiki taka and links up with ease, he just doesn't go for the beautiful through balls or majestic passes. Both Deulo and Tello have the right kind of passing skills it takes to fit in at Barcelona. Not everyone has to be able to play amazing 40 yard through balls. They just have to be able to link up well with accurate, quick, and solid passes without slowing down play and being able to move for the next part of the play. Since Neymar hasn't been conditioned at this, he won't be as alert and ready to make the right moves and play the right passes and might be a step behind everyone for a while until he adapts. His decision making will be off and it'll take quite some time to break his bad habits and theres a good chance that he's already set in his ways.

As far as attacking players are concerned, Barca is sorted. Anyone else who would come in, would be a squad option warming the bench unless an injury frees up space in the starting 11. Neymar needs to be playing constantly if he is to have a spot in WC2014. Will the media pressure force Tito to give Neymar more games than he deserves? Will it ruin the well oiled machine that currently dominates?

Neymar should be joining Barca at around age 25, after 3 or 4 years in a stepping-stone European club. Atl-Madrid, Malaga, PSV, Feyenoord, Ajax, etc. Somewhere like that. Right now, it looks like everything is set up for him to fail spectacularly. Worse than Robinho or Quaresma.

For so many matches Messi was absent against Italian teams, until he exploded against the worst Milan sides for the longest time, what does that mean?

Neymar scored against Germany, assisted and started goals against Italy, and whenever he has come up against European teams he hasn't looked terrible. He assists a lot for a player who is known to score a lot.

His crime? Luis Alvaro de Oliveira Ribeiro and Sandro Rosell.

The same as mundo and sport link him to barça. Just rumors. I don't remember Ronaldo claiming he was up there with Messi. Or anyone from the serious sport media. It was just Pele being nuts, and some people following. The normal hype it always happens... Even neymar has already a replacement here, the supposed next big thing.

Nope :p Funny that I just saw "Messi(the only one)" there on the cover.

What's the replacement's name?

Well Deulo is not a far better passer at 19 all. Certainly not with so much emphasis on 'far'. The second part is more something you would say about Lucas before he left Brazil than Neymar. At the moment Neymar, Marcelo, Oscar and Dani Alves are Brazil's only link up players. Their associative play is always let down by idiots like Fred or Hulk but its there for all to see. He would be the first Brazilian to sign for Barca and struggle with link up play. Even average players like Maxwell got it. One full preseason and that would be that imo.

The prospect of Neymar joining Barca next season (2013-14) is gathering more pace.

Graham Hunter on Revista de la Liga (April 2nd 2013) said Rosell is determined to bring the Brazilian to Camp Nou NEXT season as part of a vanity exercise.

I cannot see how this would be a wise move.
Firstly : Neymar is not yet mature enough to make a move like this. His decision making in important matches has concerned me. From what I have seen of him lately, he has not shown he is capable of stepping into "The Worlds Greatest Team".

Secondly : His arrival would hamper the development of the likes of Tello and Deulofeu. Both of whom have shown great promise this season. Particularly Tello, who has seen first team action and fitted in well to the team dynamic, and in some ways (specifically his goal threat) putting Alexis and Pedro in the shade.

I'm not saying that we shouldn't sign Neymar, but I believe the timing would be big mistake at this early stage.

And Cuenca, who actually looked like having the most potential of the youngsters. People talk about Deulofeu like he will be our next Messi, let's just wait and see what he can do on top level first - there are many hurdles.

Should have come 1 or 2 or even 3 seasons ago tbh. From what I've seen of him he can't just walk straight in to our starting 11.

Totally disagree with that and think Neymar has better ability than both Tello and Delofeu to link up and play the quick short passing game of Barcelona. All three at the moment dont do this enough but Neymar has shown in games he can do that with ease and can get involved in the build up play more.

Tello and Delofeu are more like Ronaldo type players that can be quiet then a burst of power or pace and a finish they can get a goal.

This idea that Tello and Delofeu 'are more conditioned' to the passing is absurd. Dont just rate players on the basis they have come through the youth system base them on what they do on the pitch. The likes of Bojan was probably the most youngster since Messi but he couldnt get to grips with the Barca style. While players that were never near the youth system like Etoo and Villa could/can.
