Another La Masia W

Really hope he makes it and then returns to his boyhood club one day maybe
We have Casado and Bernal. And La-Masia produces midfielders on the treadmill. I don't see a future for Nico in Barca, if he doesn't start playing worldclass overnight and then City won't let him leave either way.

Nico can be a better version of Fabien Ruiz. Pep might be able to get him to that level or above, but I'm struggling to see him being the guy they need right now.

Ideally without FFP issues, we sell Frenk'ay and brought back Nico come summer.

What a wonderful world it would be.

Be better than Gavi. Not FDJ.

Plays in more similar roles to the Gavster and a better player.

Alas those at club thought the likes of Kessie better to back so too late now.

I think it is hatd to say who is better. Nico played in portugal and not top 5 league.
City only pays 60 million because they are in danger of missing the CL qualification and this would cost them more than 100 million.
It is a risky deal which no normal club would do but they have unlimited money.
It is 50:50 if he plays good there or is just not good enough for a top club. And for him to be world class is a different story.
So lets wait but 30 million for him would be a great deal.

Honest question, but do you really rate Gavi that low? Or you are just annoyed by Frenkie criticism?

I enjoy the Frenkie crticisim.

Gavi I think is lacking massively technically and offers little on the ball currently he has become a caricature of himself and nowhere near developing way hoped he would.

Time yet and if he plays well I will say it. I am good like that.

Honestly I would not put Gavi technically in top 20 midfielders in La Liga most likely not top 30 currently. Not in top 5 at Barca.

20m for a player than never kicked a ball for us, is a good deal.

Went to Porto and developed, he wouldn't have here.

Only thing that could have been better is a de jong nico swap, but shit happens.

Astonishing that City wants to pay so much for what is,essentially an unproven player.
For 60 million I'd expect alot more. I think Pep is on an irreversible downward trend.
