There's so many Olmo type options. Wirtz is better but had a poor Euro.

Then last year Cole Palmer went for under 50m, which would have been an absolute bargain. But we never had this setup in mind at that time.

Gundogan: Old and likely don't have much energy left.

Pedri: Injury prone.

Gavi: Not that profile, plus also return from ACL injury.

Fermin: Ok but still more like a sub option.
It doesn't matter if they have downsides, what matters is that they are OM players, so the priorities lie elsewhere where we don't have 4 players, like on LW and DM.

Olmo himself is injury prone, we aren't yet at the financial position of getting players just for upgrade rather than need.

Tbf Gundobum showed his limits at this Euro already. He's toast this season or at the end of it.

Pedri is Bran Stark.

Gavi is brainless anyway.

Fermin, don't think he is more than bench material at a serious club.

Coming back to Nico - I don't think he is that special. But having great chemistry with Yamal and being only 55M makes him a good deal.

Well, i don't think club should go for Olmo even though he just had a great Euro. Just saying current no 10/attacking midfielders are not really good.

Tbf olmo is a good number 10 just injury prone and slow

And is getting a fair bit of hype here all of a sudden due to a few games in the pub Euros.

To put it into context Fermin Lopez just scored as many goals last season (8), as Olmo has ever done in his career in a season. That's including his years in Croatian league.

He's really not that big of an upgrade on Fermin. Ridiculous transfer to consider at the best of times, but even more so when finances are so tight.
