Nico is the best option for the club, provided that his release clause is under 70-80m and his form doesn't dip a lot this season.

There really aren't many players around that can come and deliver in such a big-stakes game like an Euro final in a complete manner like he did, at a young age. His finish in the final is spot on. He has talents beyond just dribbling and pace. Yes, he's not a finished star so to speak, but the main idea is to get someone that the club could develop into a superstar in the next 2-3 seasons. I think Nico fits this description best, with all the normal risks attached.

The risk factor is present in virtually all signings bar the most elite possible ones, like literally going for the top 3 available stars in their respective positions. Like Suarez, Alves and Neymar signing, Ronaldinho and Deco back in the day, Mbappe and Cristiano for Madrid and so on. The risk is something you need to account for, and this is the reason why the club should find ways to be able afford 100-150m investments every single summer until the club is back at the top spots. I said it before, to challenge Madrid and City the club is 300-400m short at the moment. And that is transfer fees money only, not salary.

I see Barcola mentioned. He's a good option in terms of talent, but doubt he is better in terms of finances for us.
